Anyone given natural birth with the HPV VIRUS?

As long as this is not your primary outbreak of hpv - then a natural is perfectly safe. I had a client who had recurrent outbreaks through her pregnancy and then on her due date! She was planning a homebirth and at that time the protocol was still to deliver by C-section IF there was a chancre at the time of labour. But luckily her outbreak passed and she went on to have a lovely natural homewaterbirth in 6hours. And her baby is none the worse for wear. In her 2nd pregnancy she drastically changed to a vegan diet and worked with someone on using tissue salts to prevent an outbreak - it didn't come up once at all in her 2nd pregnancy - another homewaterbirth!
Hasie is right, in the state sector the mother still has a vaginal birth as long as it's not her primary outbreak!
SOunds like you need to find a caregiver that's a bit more current!

Run, run far away! Your gyni is talking crap!! You can absolutely have a natural birth with HPV, the strains that causes the genital warts does not cause the warts in baby's airways as many gynies say, that info is false. Go read up about it. It is totally possible to do a natural birth. Most gynies don't even test for HPV in pregnancy because it is so common.

PS, what do you think they do in government hospitals? They all give natural birth and are not tested for HPV. Its unethical pvt gynies wishing to push for unnecessary c-sections.

It depends on whether or not you had Lletz & a shirodkar. If you had non of those & theres no cervical scarring, then you can have a natural birth (I stand to be corrected)
