First look for a midwife, then ask her to refer you to the back up gyni that she uses. There are wonderful midwifes in Durbanville area. Marianne Littlejohn, Angela Wakeford...

Hello there.

I don't know the gynae's too well, but just thought to mention that typically you won't get a gynae and midwife combo. If you want a natural birth with a midwife, mowbray maternity or a home birth with a back up gynae are pretty much the only options.
Otherwise if you want it in a private hospital, research the gynae's in the area and find one who is most pro natural possible.
If you want the midwife / gynae option for mowbray, Dr Dumbrill at Vincent Polati is very well known as is Dr Searl. Good luck!

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

Hi All

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good midwife and gynea in the Paarl / Durbanville area? I want someone who is pro natural birth.

Thanks
