I cannot speak for the gynie or Cape Gate. but I had my first baby at Durbanville Medi-Clinic, C-section and was very happy!! As Huggles said there are always only this one This was in 2012 and I will be having my second baby in 4 weeks there also.

Dr Dalla is my gynae, I've only been to her once before (July 2013) for a routine check up. She's lovely, I had no issues with her. I'm going to see her next week Friday again for my first scan and will post again if my feelings change I've yet to do a tour of Cape Gate MC, I've read that it's not as crowded as other MC's and you get personal attention because of that.....it's no Panorama but hey Maybe a hospital tour would be good?

I can't comment on the doctor.

However, I have had 2 pregnancies. The first ended badly, the second had a much happier ending.
The first we delivered at Cape Gate. The nursing staff were fantastic and I was extremely happy with how we were treated. That was in June 2010 though so I don't have more recent experience with them, nor do i have experience of a normal birth setup with them as mine was an emergency.

The second, at Durbanville, I was also extremely happy with. Again, the staff were lovely, I only had one nurse that I didn't like much, but there's always "one" LoL. The midwife on duty when i was in labour was AMAZING! And she totally respected my wishes 100%.

I only have good things to say about both hospitals.

I'm new to the Moomie community And TTC.

I'd very much like info on Cape Gate Medi Clinic and Dr Sangita Dalla.

Are their labour facilities good? Do they support your whishes/birth plan?
If anyone has had a c-section with Dr Dalla, which sutures does she prefer (stitch/staple)? How is her bed-side manner?

Is Durbanville MediClinic better?

Any other info would be so helpful.
