Hi sugar-and-spice
I gave birth via C-section at Panorama Medi Clinic last year August.
I was planning a natural birth but due to complications had to have a C-section. I did have a few days warning that it will no longer be a natural birth, but was still terrified nonetheless.
All in all I was pleasantly surprised by the experience, doctors, nurses and lactation consultants were all brilliant! The paediatrician present took amazing pics, haha! A photographer could not have done it better!
I can really not fault anyone at that hospital. In my experience, they went above and beyond. If you have any questions, they will immediately assist. A lactation consultant is on hand and they give you newborn bathing lessons to ensure you know what to do
They are extremely strict on security. Baby only allowed to move about in ward if accompanied by a nurse or mom or dad, both who get special tags. On the day you leave, one of the nurses accompany you to ensure the car seat is properly fitted.
I had a private room, and would recommend you try that. It is not that expensive.
You get a very practical hospital bag, so no need to pack al lot of things for baby. The hospital even provided a special meal for you and hubbie to share one evening.
Why don't you book a tour if you are insure? Just call the maternity ward and they will set it up.
All the best in your choice of hospital
