I was in the same predicament as you. Perhaps you have solved this issue now? I am now 22 weeks pregnant and will be going to Vincent Pallotti with a private midwife (I am using BirthOptions) and a back up doctor. My medical aid does not fully cover Vincent Pallotti nor a a midwife+doctor, so I am going to have to pay quite a lot extra for this birth. I remember checking this link for all the midwives in Cape Town and some did practice in the Northern suburbs, but perhaps as mentioned, they only do homebirth, I am not sure.

It is worth checking the link, perhaps there is someone who can advise you on what best to do in the Northern suburbs. Otherwise consider driving to Vincent Pallotti? All of the doctors there (Dumbrill, Richardson, Searle, Hinz(she is German!)) are pro natural and you don't actually need to have a private midwife if you can't afford to pay for both! Something I did not know at the time

I just found out I am pregnant. It is still early days but I always wanted to give birth naturally, C-section should only be an option in an absolute emergency.
I am not familiar with how all things pregnancy work here in SA.
I am originally from Germany where natural birth is the preferred and encouraged method, you will also have a midwife who will stay by your side until weeks after birth.

I would like to have the same here, a natural birth aided by a midwife and a gynae as a backup if necessary.
I am in Milnerton and my closest options are Milnerton Medi Clinic and Blaauwberg Hospital.
After a bit of a search on the internet I couldn't find midwives who service the northern suburbs or who are affiliated with the two hospitals.
Did I miss something?
Vincent Pallotti seems to be the hospital to go to.
Any recommendations regarding gynaes and midwives in this hospital would be very appreciated.
Or any leads about midwives in the Milnerton, Tableview, Blaauwberg area.
Also as an alternative any recommendations regarding gynaes who support natural birth 100%.
