Medi Clinics in general provide linen savers and one pack of maternity pads.
They will also dress baby in their clothes while you are in hospital unless you request otherwise. I use this option becuase it saves you from extra laundry!

They also provide a baby bag which includes a pack of newborn nappies. various toiletries like baby shampoo, vaseline, etc. Only thing I think that wasn't in it was surgical spirits for the cord. Everything else you need for baby is in it.

Hi

Those of you who have given birth at Cape Gat MediClinic - do I need to take my own linen savers? Or does the hospital supply that? I went on the tour of the maternity ward, but they didn't mention anything about linen savers....I didn't even know what it was until someone in my month group on Moomie mentioned it a while ago!

On the tour they also suggested not bringing too many clothes for baby, as they get dressed in the hospital's clothing to avoid your own ones going missing....did any of you still take your own clothes for baby (aside from the going home-outfit)? I don't want to look silly and show up with a bunch of baby grows if it is not neccessary

Thanks!
