I only saw Dr. Mangena once for one checkup just to meet her.
The midwives at Femina works with a selected few gynies only if needed in an emergency situation and she was one of the doctors recommended.

I was with Dr. Swart in the first half of my pregnancy at Femina and was happy with him.

I know that she was one of the back-up Gyneas that I could choose from at the Femina birthing unit. I ended up choosing another dr. so I can't comment on her.

Hi Everyone, I just found out I'm pregnant. Its my first pregnancy and i would really like some help with finding a good obgyn. Does anyone know about dr Elizabeth de Gouveia. She is at Sunnyside Gynacological Hospital and and at the active birthing unit at Femina. She was recommended by the midwives at Femina

I had preeclampsia and my baby was IUGR... It was picked up only at 38 weeks by my gynae and there's a risk it could happen again, in which case case a gynae would be essential, I've got to take every precaution necessary to ensure that it is picked up and dealt with at the earliest.

Also, Gloei's sentiments are spot on with regard to Unitas... its not a very pro-natural birth at all, never mind a VBAC one...

And Kloof has one of the highest C-section rates in the country...
