There is a birth Center at Rietondale 4 minutes drive to Femina , they are called Midwives exclusives , they also have Birthing Unit at Femina . so you will choose where you want to give birth .
Femina Active Birth Unit is the only midwife led birth center in Pretoria that has direct access to the hospital if you have an emergency, meaning they can get a doctor to perform a c/s in minutes. But there are 3 birth houses in Pretoria, they have birthing facilities but if you need a gyni to assist, you will be transferred to hospital.

I've heard from a friend of mine that there is a new birthing centre opening in Pretoria, close to the Steve Biko Academic hospital, in 2016, but she couldn't remember specifics. Something similar to Genesis in Jhb, if my info is correct. If this is the case, can anyone give me details?
