FS appointment and IUI...

has anyone been successful with getting pregnant by having iui for the 1st time?

Julz you are such a star. I've never had weight issued and think I am as hairy as the average women so like the doc said yesterday I dont really fit the typical profile. I guess I will have to speak to doc next week and then see.

Hayley if I am not mistaken IVF is around 30000 odd depending on meds etc with a bit more for ICSI. They can't do ICSI without IVF so that fee sounds all inclusive.

I recon your hubby is going to have to see a urologist. Is there no way you can see one between now and then. It will speed things up as you will be able to possibly give your fs answers.

There are going to be important steps for you to follow now as a couple or it will be a waste of money so take it one step at a time and do what the doc says. Keep the appointments. It is a long hard slog but one well worth doing as I am sure you know.

Julz, i also thought that was hectic, wasnt expecting it to decrease so drastically but hopeing for it to increase...

Previous gynae did want him to see a Urologist as he thought hubby might have a prostate problem and we just never got around to doing that...

So you saying we might waste more time with IUI and hubby's low sperm count cos in all honesty i was thinking the same thing...

I phoned BioArt to find outta interest what a ICSI costs and that is between R25 000.00-R35 000.00 so i would hate to know what IVF costs...
