Clomid question

My dosage has been as follows,
Sept 50mg Fertomid 1 Follicle BFN
Oct 50mg Fertomid No Follicle
Nov 100mg Fertomid No Follicle
Next cycle 150mg Fertomid

I found the only side effect that increased was the nausea and the headaches. The emosional roler coaster not as much. It is funny though that he is taking such a large leep.
The reason I keep increesing my dose, the Fertomid only worked the first month.

Please help!! I'm starting my third round of fertomid (generic of clomid) as soon as af arrives but I'm just wondering abou the dose! My other two cycles where at 50mg March and April this year, and now the Dr wnats to put me on 150g from days 5-9...is this not an unusually large jump? The side effects at 50mg was hectic, imagine three times that!!

Finaly got hold of my gynea. He said that it could be cysts forming as that is one of the side affects, but he thinks it is more likely that it is the follicle that id maturing and getting ready to release an egg . He said that due to the clomid the follicles are larger than when they naturely form, thus causing the discomfort.
I am quite happy to hear that this is the case.
Unfortunately there isn't something to take for the pain, so it will have to be "gritt down on my teeth and bare it".

(Un)Fortuanatly I do not have any experience with cysts so I can not help you in that department but I had some strange uncomfortable pains very low in my abdomen (cannot really say on which side specifically) and a egg white discharge which prompted me to do an ovulation test (OPK) on day 20. Hopefully you may be in the same boat.

Apart from the OPK you can go for a progestone blood test on day 21 to confirm that you have ovulated or not. Ask you Dr to send you for such a test. It may be a good idea to also discuss the pains with your Dr at your next appointment.

Hi All,
I started on my first session of Fertomid (a Clomid Generic) this month. Went to the docter on day 14. One follicle formed.
But here is my question: I have PCOS and experience a lot of pain due to cysts. but up till now I have only ever gotten cysts on my left ovary. The follicle formed on the right side as expected. But now I am in pain on the right side as well. Is it possible that the follicle isn't releasing an egg, but rather forming a cyst due to the medication. Or is it just pain associated with ovulating, I don't know what it is like seeing as I have never ovulated? And if this is normal, do I just grit my teeth and bare it or is there something I can take for the pain?

As far as testing possitive for ovulation, It is good to hear that your cycle might lengthen, because I am also still testing negative on that front, now on day 16.
