Fertility Department at Tygerberg Hospital

Zarah just wanted to let you know that I got a reply to that e-mail I sent to the Tygerberg Fertility Unit - it looks like it's from Prof Kruger himself!!
He didn't give much info, just said that we need a referral letter, so I replied again and asked for more information.

But at least we now know that they still exist!! Not that you'll need them though

That will be such great news! My gynae told me Vincent Palotti is the closest. I tried calling the number I found on google, but it was just ringing... Keep me posted.

I am praying, believing that this is the month I get a BFP. I am only making my appointment if AF arrives... but I believe this month its staying far away

Thanks Carmen. I've really been trying to keep the faith and believe that it will happen for me, but it's difficult sometimes.

Zarah, I really hope this isn't true!! I'm sure one of the threads I was reading was from January this year. I've sent them an e-mail, but I'll try and phone as well and see.

As far as I know, they dont exist anymore?
I have a referral to Vincent Palotti next month.

Andy - I'm not familiar with the fertiliy clini at Tygerberg Hosp -
But I'm certian it will be topnotch-
SA primary health care is still very good.

I've been doing some research on fertility specialists/departments at Government Hospitals and come across quite a few posts (on other forums) about it.

Does anybody on Moomie have any experience or information about the Tygerberg Reproductive Biology Unit at Tygerberg Hospital? I know Prof Kruger from Aevitas at Vincent Palotti works here as well.

Any info would help. I really need to get to a fs now I think. It's way past due, but I can't afford to go private at the present moment.
