Hi there Widget
Thrush is a horrible thing to get rid of. You will have to treat it for at least 2 weeks even after symptoms disappear.
Do you breastfeed? If so, you will have to treat yourself as well. Dr might prescribe a tablet that you take once.
For baby, he might prescribe daktarin oral gel 3 times a day. If baby takes a dummy, that will be the best place to put it on after a feed so that the saliva can spread it all over the mouth, if not, then you can put it on your nipples maybe once a day or put it on a bottle teat(without anything in the bottle) so that baby can suck it off like that.
You can also get nystacid oral suspension which is also very very good & nystacid ointment for your nipples. Just wash nipples before feeding.
Wash your bras in hot water as well. Cut down on any sugary stuff & give baby probiotics for a few weeks
