Hi Sumaya
I am in teh same situation and teh same age as well, except I do have a beautiful 9 yr old daughter.I had a mc last october @ 6 weeks and another 2 weeks ago @ 11 weeks altho baby was only 9 weeks.the only thing that I was doing differently was gyming and eating healthy and both times fell pregnant 2 months after starting. The dr also said it is gods will and after 2 weeks of wondering wat i did wrong ,i think I have realised that if its not meant to be ,it wont happen.
I have now started taking Inofolic which is supposed to help with egg quality so hoping that when I do start trying again god will let it work out for me the next time.
Maybe you should go for a second opinion,my first dr who was a well reknowned FS in Dbn said that I would never be able to have a baby,he was wrong.
Please can we keep in touch and maybe compare notes and who knows maybe we can generate enough positive energy so that it happens for both of us.
It helps having someone that understands what you going through.
Take care and chat soon

Hi Sumaya

I also had 2 recurrent miscarriages, and my gynae also told me it was just bad luck. I was 34 years old. I decided to go to a fertility clinic against her advice, and I'm glad I did. The FS ran a whole lot of tests (Vitalab in Sandton). They found that I had Factor V Leiden thrombophilia (a blood clotting disorder) and a partial septum. We sorted the septum and I went on Ecotrin tablets while trying to conceive and then on injections when I fell pregnant. I now have a 3 month old boy, Keegan :) So I definitely recommend seeing a fertility specialist no matter what your gynae says...

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. If you do not feel comfortable with your gynie's advice, why do you not seek the opinion of an FS (fertility specialist). Because you are older and it seems that you only mananged to conceive twice during a 2 year period ...both of which ended in a M/C - I would seek further intervention, than just leave it.

If you were 24 years old, I would have waited for another year and try naturally.

This is just my humble opinion. Lets hear what some of the other ladies have to say.

Btw: Have you done any specific tests at your gynie (hormone levels etc.?)

Oh Sumaya

I am so sorry to hear that. Perhaps you need to see a fertility specialist? Often they run better testing than a normal gynae?

be strong, I'm sure you will soon get your dream!

i had 2 recurrent miscarriages in the last 2 years. Im 38 yrs old at the moment and desperately want to have a baby. my gynae says its the will of God. My gynae has confirmed that I have absolutely no medical conditions which is causing the miscarriages. Any suggestions ?
