Any Sept 2013 Moms?

Hi everyone ! Yoh time is really flying by .

Mackie + Squirrelz - My appt went well , baby is at 2kgs , doc says hes slighlty heavier than he should be at this stage but hes happy . Doc has confirmed September 18th for my C Section . My sister in law is having a baby shower for me 31st August she had to tell me cos she needs all my friends details so she couldn't really keep it a surprise .

I cant believe i have 4 weeks to go . Haven't bought anything for baby yet . Waiting for the baby shower to be over so i know what i will be needing . I do know however i will have to get two Campcots , one for mums house as well cos she gonna be taking care of baby when I am at work. From next Monday I will be working half day so I am looking forward to that . Second week in September before the C Section i wont be working at all . Cant wait !!!!!!!!!! i am so exhausted .

Zippy mom – Thanks. Genevieve is the only name that hubby and I could agree upon and it took a while too. We’ll most likely be pronouncing it “Jenny” because we’ll probably shorten it to Jenna or Jen in the long run, if you know what I mean. So happy to hear your app went well… The 19th Aug is around the corner!!! SO EXCITING!!!!

Pamela how did your app go? Did the doc give you a date for your c-sec? Sorry to hear that you’ll have to work once baba gets here! Such a pity! Hope that someone throws you a baby shower hon!

Squirrelz you must enjoy your last week of work! Hope that it flies by for you!!! I’ve got 3 more weeks to go and then I’m done! Can’t wait! Enjoy finishing off baba’s room… So much fun! Yay that you got spoiled at your baby shower!

Hi all,
Time is really flying now, its my last week at work!! So excited, I can finally finish off the baby room next week and pack my hospital bag and RELAX.

I had my Baby shower 2 Saturdays ago, it was perfect, we got so spoilt!!

I am going to the doc again on Thursday and after that I guess every week / week and half if I can stretch it. I love going to the doc as it mean I get to see my little bundle of joy, but its just so expensive I try to keep the visits to the minimum.

Pamela, I hope someone surprises you with a baby shower, Its such a fun time and experience to have!

Goodluck for every one for the last month, the say its the hardest month, but so far for me its just been more excitement!

Hi everyone , the weeks are really going by fast hey . Glad everyone is doing fine and the babas are doing fine . Mackie , the name Genevieve is a gorgeous name . So you will be getting in an extra month with baby lucky you . I will probably have to work half day even after baby comes even though i want to take complete leave I cannot

Anyone else had baby showers ? The guy I work with is forever asking my hubby if we are having a baby shower cos his wife wants to know . However I am not sure if someone is having one for me , cant really give myself a baby shower now can I !!!!!
I have an appt tomorrow hopefully the doc can give me more info as to when my c section will be done . I am full term on 10.09.2013 so hopefully the week after that .

Mackie I'm so glad everything went well at ur app, and that you had a blast at your baby shower!! Nothing like being spoilt rotten hey Genevieve, what a beautiful name!! Are you pronouncing it like 'Jenny' or in a French like manner, like 'je ne se qois'? Very laa-di-da! very beautiful!

My app went well, still a good candidate for a vbac, baby is engaged and weighing in n at 2,6kg. My new EDD is 07 Sept now, but we'll be doing 'stretch and sweeps' from 19 Aug. Gotta suck it up! lol! Just to trying to keep positive...

Zippy Mom how did your appointment go yesterday?

Our appointment went very well. Little Bits is weighing 2.4kgs and we are at 33 weeks today, so only 7 weeks left!!! SOOOOO excited!!! My last day at work is 30th August and then I’ve taken annual leave for September and my maternity leave starts on 1st October so will be getting UIF sorted end Aug beginning Sept.

My baby shower on Saturday was awesome! Genevieve (Little Bits) and I got spoiled rotten! We are sorted for everything… She just needs to arrive now. *hehehe* It was such a special day spent with amazing friends and family.

Here’s to the last stretch ladies! Hope it’s as painless and comfortable as it possible can be!

Yes, can definitely sense all the excitement going around

So glad ur app went well Squirrelz!! I'd buy one box of breastpads of I were you, you can always see how much u use/need once you're actually breastfeeding. I bought one box with munchkin 1, and ended up not being able to breastfeed much, so half the box was wasted. I'd also say about 2-3 pkts of maternity pads, then see how much u need after that.

Hey Tazz-O, isnt Ramadaan taking strain on you? I find that I'm getting even less sleep now, and even though Ramadaan's always been my favourite time of the year, i find myself counting down the days as I'm home alone with munchkin 1 at night (as hubby goes to Taraweegh), and he's just a ball of energy, and all I want to do is sleeeepppppppppp

Pamela, the reason why they ask you to only bring baby's 'going home' clothing and blanky is that they don't want to get all the babies in the wards clothes mixed up with each other, nor with the hospitals clothing. Also, if it goes to laundry (if they're kind enough to wash your clothes), they don't want to risk your baby's new clothes colours running onto their standard white, blue or pink clothing. Or another baby's colours running onto your baby's clothing.. Which all makes sense...
