Good morning ladies

Daerhel I love your post:) So positive, despite 25hr labour! he he

I am scared sh1tless for a 3rd c-section...just not looking forward to it.

Ladies I am exhausted!! I'm not sure if due to all the vomiting, my energy levels may be low?? BUt I just cannot get enough sleep. I want to sleep all the time. I wake up sleepy. Yesterday I passed out on the bed while my daughter did my make up... I woke up to a surprise when I looked in the mirror. lol.

Hoping this passes soon.

I don't think we have any scans this week yet?

Hope you are all well!

Hey Ladies!!

Yay!! TGIF!!!

Been a busy day moving offices.... luckily we have some nice strong men in the offices that had to haul and carry everything! :) hehe! I just had to sort all my files out again and settle...

Angie, You'll be happy to know that labour, tho it feels like the world is ending in pain at the time, is not really that bad. The minute you hold that little one in your arms, you forget all about it, the pain, the worry, everything! Nothing is more important than that little one. Holding your tiny little bundle of joy makes it all worth it.

I myself had 2 natural births. Small complication with extremely low blood pressure with my first daughter, they put an epidural in and had me on a drip, just in case. But luckily the birth went fine, 25 1/2 hrs labour!
My second daughter was easier, and faster. Exactly 3 hrs 1 minute labour from start to birth! :)

This time round I'm a bit worried. This little one seems to be growing faster than both my girls did. Or maybe I'm just getting fat! Hehe!! :)
Dr did say a c-section is a possibility, but we'll see later on what the gynae thinks, tho I prefer natural.
Having never had a c-section I too am a bit scared. You hear so many horror stories, but then there are so many good stories too, I find it very confusing.

Personally tho I am trying not to stress too much about it. What will be, will be, and that's just how it is.
The good Lord will decide for us, and I know He will bring me through whatever birth I happen to have.

Sorry if that sounded preachy, but I really do believe He has a hand in all things. Babies are after all a precious gift from above!

Have an awesome weekend everyone!

Happyface that is exactly what I fear as well!! Labour, pushing then having to do a c-section  I'm also afraid that if I have a c-section I wont be able to tie/wrap my tummy :(

Good morning ladies,

happy Friday :woohoo:

Ayesha, there is a nice thread a lot of ladies are commenting on called - PJ's in hospital. go read up there for very detailed responses.
it will come down to get something that you are comfortable and that is easy to remove. and maybe take 2 or 3 different types as you are not going to know before hand if it might irritate you.

about birth, please do not be scared about it. rather keep your baby in mind. focus on baby. weather you go natural or C-sec, there will be good medical persons to deal with it and you will be in good hands.
i will recommend normal to everyone as it is best for baby and the recovery time is so much less.
i was in labour for 22 hours with my lb and i didnt take any meds. and it was such a beautiful experience - i still shed a tear when thinking about it.

one thing, you have to be prepared and read up on some facts if you want to go normal. most gynies will push to do a Csec, because it is very convenient for them - their are a few very standard things they will say to you to convince you that you cannot go normal where in fact only about 5% of births are actually really emergancies where normal is not an option.
so just keep an open mind.

Ayesha the best pj's....if you plan to breast feed, is something with buttons down the middle. A dress type thing rather...vs pants.

My friend just had a c-section....she is in so much pain at the moment...a week later.

I had an emergency c-section 1st time round and 2nd time, placenta previa so again, had to be c-section. I definitely wish I had the option to birth naturally. A c-section is major abdominal surgery.

I suggest attend antenatal classes, hook up with a midwife or a doula that will encourage you and empower you as to what your body can do.

My cousin had natural and c-section...she said she would choose natural any day. I just think recovery is so much faster with natural.

Personally I was going to give that a go both times, but it was out of my hands.

BUT if you opt for c-section...there's nothing wrong with that. Pain wise, first time round was a breeze. I didn't even take pain meds...but I think I have a high pain threshold.

2nd time round I remember being way less mobile and feeling less comfortable than first time round. I am scared out of my socks for the 3rd one (Doc told me to not even ask if I can have natural...lol)....as they cut through scar tissue, so I believe pain wise it will probably be the worst.

Hi ladies,

I was so quiet lately - had a hectic time at work. So happy it is Friday! (but I did follow all the post ;) )

Thanks for all the advise - I found that google is also very helpful regarding how to store breast milk. My friend had a baby a month ago - so I'm also learning a lot from her (what work and what don't, products to use etc.)

With regards to the C-section - I was also very scared but then I realised either way (natural or C-section) there will be pain and recovery involved in getting the baby out. So now I'm a bit more relaxed with it now. I just don't want to try for natural and after 9 hours in labour they have to do a C-section any ways. So my dr must just tell me before hand which one is safest for baby with our background en circumstances!

Hope you have a lovely Friday!
