@AnzelMama12 I am so sorry for your loss . I cant imagine what you must be going through, but just remember God is your comfort in times like these. I pray that you will get through this *hugs*

@Morongwa - I am sad to say that I had a natural miscarriage Friday morning and a D&C the very same night. It was a terribly traumatic experience and I'm still reeling from shock - This was also our first pregnancy and I was super excited. I really wanted this baby, but it didn't stick. Apparently it was due to hormones not being in check, or something. I am taking a few days to recover, then we will jump back on the TTC Wagon. May you have a healthy and happy pregnancy and may your baby bring you loads of joy!

So sorry that you are feeling sick! I know it can be quite a debilitating experience! Have you been to your doctor? Maybe he can help with the sickness? I hope you feel better soon!

I am one of the lucky few who does not suffer from morning sickness (touch wood), but I do have bad fatigue, heartburn and lower backache (Which could also be attributed to the way I sat this week, marking my students' internal examinations). Apart from that, my appetite is relatively small, compared to my normal capacity to eat! And I have a minor skin breakout at the moment. So far so good!!

I have this irrational fear that I might lose this baby - I am praying so hard to God to help me through this, because I know He gave me this precious gift, and I believe that He won't take it back now! I just have to have faith in God and his perfect will...

I did another test yesterday, for picture purposes, and it came back very strong positive - See below! The top test was the very first positive I got - It was very very faint. Then, 9 days later, I did the same type of test again, and got a very strong positive - See the bottom test. So there is definitely a baby in there! I am 5 weeks, 2 days today. My GP wants me to draw blood again on Friday, just to make sure that the HCG count continues to rise.

I'm sorry for replying late, I've been very sick lately. I'm 7 weeks 2 days today but I feel like it's been 6 months already. No appetite still.

Apologies for being so quiet. I am hectically busy with marking internal examinations for my students at the College where I work at.

Just wanted to give you an update. I will be 5 week pregnant tomorrow - My HCG more than trippled from 74 to 286 in just over 48 hours. Doctor is very happy with the progress. I will be seeing gynae on the 16th of May 2016. Hubby and I are very excited about the pregnancy! I don't have morning sickness (yet?!?) but do suffer from the occasional heartburn, headache and dizziness. My boobs ache like hell, though! Wow! I've never experienced this in my life! Obviously!!

I will be going for one more blood draw on Friday, this week, just to confirm that HCG is still rising as it should. Holding thumbs for a very sticky bean.

Not all doctors request blood tests to be done, though. You an either ask for blood tests, or go to Pathcare to draw bloods privately, without a doctors list - If you really want to! It costs about R160 per beta draw.

How are you feeling otherwise? When are you going for your first ultrasound?
