AnaB, congratulations, she is absolutely beautiful! Good luck with the breastfeeding and night feeds xxx

Cuma, congratulations too - the pics are too cute. How are you feeling?

Gonste, your baby is nice and big - glad to hear your scan went well.

Nels, lol, have you packed your bag by now? Good luck with the last stretch.

First-time mom, good luck for the final days/weeks - take it easy.

Pokkeltjie, post some pics of the nursery?

MrsGov, how did your scan go?

Tanya and SpiritedMama - good luck with your scans coming up.

Debbie, how are you doing?

Simmybunz and Lethuwam, glad to hear all is well.

AFM: So excited to say that the twins came home on Thursday - after 63 days in ICU! Today is their fourth day at home and it is going well. It is quite tough waking them every three hours throughout the night as well - we have to because they are still considered prem and are not weighing 2,5kg yet. As soon as they reach 2,5kg, we may leave them for four hours during the night (but still three hours during the day). Breastfeeding is thankfully going very well and the tandem feeding is not a problem. I'm just struggling with engorged breasts because I've been pumping up a storm for the past nine weeks and the babies don't drink nearly as much as I pump out (I'm renting a hospital grade pump). But my supply seems to be regulating and at the moment I'm only expressing at 3h in the morning after they've fed when the engorgement is unbearable. Otherwise all is well - we're seeing the pediatrician tomorrow for a check up and weigh in - I'm really hoping that they've put on some weight. Before they came home both my hubby and myself had to "sleep in" in the maternity war at Panorama and spend 24 hours with them before they could come home. After this they've lost some weight, so I really hope that they now have the hang of breastfeeding (compared to tube feeding before). Panorama really is a great hospital.

Hi Ladies,

@Nels_N I think reality hits as soon as you pack the baby bag and play the "any-day-now" waiting game

@Gonste1 thank you for the list, I have most of what you've listed but totally forgot about disposable undies - I instead got Carriwell Maternity Hospital Panties from Dischem and maternity pads. Need to get those linen savers as well

Thanks again, very exciting that we have th same EDD and our peanuts weigh the same too ;)

Hello mommies

How are you doing?

Cuma and Bar how are you ladies and the bumbinos too.

AnaB don't worry about breastfeeding you will get the hang of it. It is harder and a bit overwhelming at first.

Gontse arch the login drama. Thanks to the whatsapp group I can now keep up.

Pokkeljie great to hear nursery is ready. You are on a role.

First time mom you are almost there.

MrsGov how are you doing?

How are the rest of the ladies doing?

AFM: I am taking it easy. The heat has been bad then it gets better. Thankfully today it is cooler. I still have not packed any bag. I just keep procrastinating its bad. I'm so tired all the time. I wash dishes and feel like I just did the whole garden. I am having mild period like pains and hoping its just the constipation as my Gynea only returns on the 9 January. My toddler seems to be nursing nonstop lately its as if he knows someone is coming. He is also extremely clingy. I will try my level best to pack by the end of the weekend. Oh goodness this pregnancy has not been the easiest. Even packing the bags seem to hassle lol.
Enjoy your new years celebration mommies. I will be asleep. Poor hubby must deal with his kids.

Hello ladies

I am still having troubles loggin on hence the silence.
Pokkeltjie we've had a break from the heat since Christmas so I have been enjoying the weather. Well done on completing the nursery now you can just wait for your little bundle. Sorry about the hip pains its only a matter of time now.

First time mommy you and I share the same due date, I have packed both the baby bag and my bag. For me I packed a towel, toiletries, pyjamas, slippers, maternity pads, breastfeeding bras, linen savers, disposable underwear

My scan on the 23rd went well, baby measured 2.9kg. Placenta was functioning well. My Dr is on holiday till the 9th so that's when my next appointment is at.

Hope you enjoying the last days of 2016

Morning All.

What a hectic time of the year this is.

@Pokkeltjie - I hav packed the baby bag but fear I packed too much, I'm scare that he gets too cold then I'm scare it gets too hot
I'm really not sure what to put in my bag yet, will get around to that today.

Ladies, you have been quiet (hope it's not the logging in issue again) I hope you are all well. And that final preparations are not driving you crazy.

I have been driving myself everywhere . I am now 37 weeks 4 days. I felt a bit of discomfort yesterday after my Doctors appointment so I'm taking it easy the next couple of days.

Our little Kidney Bean is 2,9kg's and EDD is 16 Jan but Doctor says anytime in the next two weeks is possible so I should stay ready. I must say I am very anxious about childbirth and have been reading non-stop about it as it is my first time.

My next Scan is 5 Jan.

@ AnaB - oh wow....Big congrats to you too. Such a cute little girl, you must be over the moom :)
Breastfeeding always seems to be a bit harder in the beginning but sure you will master it quite quickly - such an amazing way to bond with your little baby :)

@ First Time Mom - I am still driving, but let hubby do most of the driving. All the wobbles in the road is getting the better of me though....

@ Simmybunz / Gontse1 / Nnita - how did it go with your scans?

@ MrsGov - good luck with your scan on the 30th

AF - baba is still kicking up a storm in my tummy. I'm doing alright...heat is just getting a bit unbearable and then of course all the other niggly bits like swelling/leg cramps and hip pain still getting the better of me. We got the nursery ready last week....it looks so adorable, very calming and cool. We've gone with white, grey and a light baby pink with a Elephant theme - nursery looks so nice and can't wait for D-day now :) All baba's clothes have been washed and are packed away in the compactum. Just have to get our bags packed and ready...
