Nixie: To boost your son immune find out if its safe to use septoguard. Its a natural antibiotic. The lady at my son's playschool has recommended septoguard and clovocil multivitamin to boost his immune system. Im happy to hear that your Lo is fine and that your doing great it must have been stressfull.

Buhle uses and pushes herself with her bum to move around. She is seven months. Im laready thinking of his birthday present for next year

Wgray: Go to your pead and talk to him about your concerns and possible interventions. My pead helped a lot with son who has delayed milestones.

My son goes for physio and had an assesment done by peadatrician nuerodevelopment specialist. All of this helped me and the tests done showed that he is fine.

If your in CT I could refer you the people I use

if you concerned take your sone to a physio you will not regret it. A nurse or a ditician to help with the weight so as to review what your sone eats maybe the are certain foods that his allergic to. Just a thought.

Nixie im so happy to hear that you and baba are doing much better. i know how you feel with the in and out of hospital, but it does get better. Between the age of 10 months & 21 months we almost lived @ the hospital with Amandalynn, it can be draining. just hold on and know you are the best mom you can be.

Wgray so you asked for a opinion and i will give it. lol i agree that you need to take him to a Pead, not a GP to have the weight thing checked. reason for saying Pead is that is you go to a doctor it will cost you R300 and then if they see a problme they will refer you to the Pead which will cost you maybe another R300, just make a appointment at the pead and pay 1 doctor who specialises in children. i would also worry about the weight. the nurse can go fly!!! kids develop @ different stages. my first child could only sit @ 7 months and only started walking @ a year, but she started talking @ 4 months, and also had all her teeth by 18 months started @ 4 months. Where as my second is now 8 months has 1 tooth says 1 word (started on saturday) but she is almost walking.

the ears thing (Wgray): Amandalynn has had 3 pairs of Grommits, the brown things running out of the ear is a big problem, take him to the pead and ask about it, the will refer you to a ENT and he will most probibly get grommits. remember that your ears effect your balance. again like EP said that might not be the problem on your side, but it is something to look into. sorry for the long response but im in a good mood today...

EP OMG die kinders raak so vinnag groot. Shame for the teeth at least she likes brushing and remember the longer they take to teeth the healthier their teeth. dis hoe ek myself troos!!!! Lorelai has been looking like she has marbles in her top gum for the last week, but no teeth. every day i go homw thinking today they might be out, but no luck.

Die Trompoppies was amazing!!!!! Brackenfell won small drill, large drill and they are the Champion of Champions. I took Amandalynn with on Friday night and she wore her Drummie uniform she cheered and danced and loved it. my future little drummie. i didn't take any pics, was to busy cheering, but will check when they are online and post some.

work wise, we still waiting to hear about the retrenchment. hold thumbs i will still have a job end of October.

Nixie - I am glad you all got some meds from the homeopath! Shame, 5 hospital stays in 5 months... I can see how that could be draining.

i dont have much help here rather to get him checked. as my baby is almost 8 months and a lady at work her baby is 6 months and he can say 4 word allready and my baby doesnt. so for mile stones i am so confused. but for the loosing weight and the nurses concern it would also concern me. so for peace of mind go check him out!!!

Thanks....I think the best would be to have him checked by a pead properly. That might be best. He very often has thick brown stuff coming from his ears...so that might be something to look into.

I am open to anything girls...I really dont mind...it hurt what the nurse told me yesterday but I rather would like to get to the point of it asap so he can start developing normally.

Wgray, I had a client on Saturday who's baby is 7 months old, and she could not sit either, so she got grommets - problem fixed.

However, I am not suggesting this is what is wrong with your baby.

The best thing would be to see your pead, or even your gp, who would be able to refer you to some or other specialist, who will be able to help you. Please keep us posted!
