Hi All

I need to ask. My daughter was born 27 Jan and for the last month she has been crawling - and she is fast - she has now in the last week started to hold on to things and pull herself up in a standing position and she stays in that position for a while then she falls back down. - but she cannot sit on her own. it doesn't make any sense to me. do any of your kids do that as well.

my other daughter talked before she could even sit and she sat @ 6months and only crawled at 8 months.

IS my baby weird?

Hi Ethansmom

This thread is still alive if we keep it alive... he he he

My advice would be to pop a dummy in his mouth instead of the bottle. We did that with Tori and now she sleeps from about 8pm till about 6am... It's wonderful.

What is he eating during the day? Does he have a big feed before going to bed? As i think that helps us as well.

Sometimes she'll have a growth spurt and will want to feed during the night but that usually only lasts a night or two and then we're back to sleeping through again.

Good Luck!

Hi,

I'm also a Jan mommy. Ethan was born on 31 January two weeks before due date.

Is this thread still alive????

I just want to find out if any other mommies still have the 2am feed and if you have any advice for me as I need to drop this now. Its not so much for feeding but realise that Ethan is now used to waking up for a bottle and he falls asleep with the bottle. I need to break this habit but want some advice on how to go about it.

Hi Euphre7,

My LO is right back into his old regime of waking up twice (sometimes three) times a night. I am finding a definite correlation between how long he sleeps during the day and then at night. When he only has one nap he will sleep for a long stretch - not that I interfer to much with his sleep patterns but he generally does not sleep a lot during the day at all..he is also a hungry baby that can't eat too much in one sitting which means he gets woken up by hunger - not much I can do about that yet. The fact that I give him formula has never made a difference in improving his sleep duration. I agree with Cherikey - sleep sense is a good read and may give you some valuable insight into your LO's sleeping patterns.

Hang in there..

Hi Euphre7

How are you feeding and how much does your LO sleep during the day? I was give the book Sleep Sense and highly recommend it!

I breastfeed only during the day and then give Tori a big formula bottle around 8pm (sometimes earlier, sometimes later). She then sleeps through from about 8:30pm/9:00pm till about 4:30am/5:00am...

Hope this helps!
