Sumaya, Oh no.. I just posted about the Coxsackie virus last week! I sometimes wonder why Dr's just want to prescribe antibiotics and then your child sits with a Virus.

Nadia, how was your beach Party at work on Friday?

Deja, not nice when the battery goes on your car..mine went about a month ago..luckily I was still at work and the people here could help me!

Binks.. LOL on the bicycle..I also feel like that some days!

Deja shame it really not lekka for you to work so much. I landed up buying a new battery on Friday, that why i say money you neva win. And pertol going up again, im going to buy a bicycle at least Klerksdorp is small enough Hehe.

Marilu and Sumayad, I feel so sorry for your little ones! Apparently that virus is EVERYWHERE. My friend's baby in CT also has it. I am keeping Nienke well inside. She is going NOWHERE.

Although I don't think it's reached us yet.

Anyway, am having a BLUE MONDAY. My car didn't want to start ,so am now sitting at a battery place, replacing the battery. Meanwhile I have a LOT to do workwise and just don't know how I am going to get to everything today. There is just no time and I already missed an appointment.

Am tired and GATVOL, working every second weekend.

Had a good weekend here A went to a birthday party at Spur on Saterday and got cover in coldrink and ice cream had so much fun.

My boss is here this week, so I'll only chat when I can.

Marilu, what is wrong with Migs? Because Zia had the exact same....he has a viral infection called Coxsackie virus...It effects the mouth, hands and feet. His mouth was swollen on Friday when I took him to the pead, he was admitted into hospital just for a drip - which really helped. Luckily he was discharged the same day....

Apparantly the virus is in the air, very contageous and in schools as well. I hope Migs gets well soon...****hugs****

p.s Zia only started eating yesterday, he still says "burn" when he eats, but his mouth looks much better.

Hello everyone.

Had a very tough week. The moving went well, took us the whole saturday to move and there's still many unpacked boxes but will sort that out with time.

I'm very very very tired and starting to get sick myself.

Migs is doing ok. The fever finally broke on saturday, but her mouth is looking TERRIBLE. After 3 days of crying (and 3 sleepless nights) I finally realized that the antibiotics are giving her very bad stomach cramps! Stopped the antibiotics (even though I shouldn't) and she's doing so much better! Still woke up 5 times last night but no more screaming for an hour at a time.

Her mouth is horrible, her whole mouth inside, her tongue, her gums..everything is covered with sores. The corner of her mouth now has 3 sore, shame, I feel so sorry for her! She's still not eating, only drinking milk and water.

Sumaya how is Z doing?? Is he ok?

Justine I can't really see that the Daktarin helped? We went to the pharmacy yesterday and they said we must stop the Daktarin and use another gel..can't remember the name now.
Did you manage to take a half day's leave on Friday?

Binks sounds like the nappy is irritating Arwen's bum?

Binks...nope L does not scratch...what nappies are you using? Have u recently changed? Saw on one of the other threads once about a certain brand of nappies that was irritating the baby's skin? Not sure of the name now
