Vision, I work every 3rd weekend, so this weekend is my weekend but we rotate between the ladies in my department for public holidays so Monday was my turn. I have the next 4 public holidays off. I will have christmas off this year, I worked it last year

Marilu, good for you for wanting to donate all M;s old stuff. If I was close by, I could of given you all Jaydons small things for the school.

Sumayad, I was feeling the same as what you are now, since the weekend. I posted about it yesterday. Im so grateful for everything I have in my life. I truly am blessed. There are so many people with less but never complain.

You know we tend to whine and whimper over things we do not have control over, yet there are ppl with far less than us that appreciate small things that we take for granted.

Yes, we hate our jobs, but it pays the bills and puts a roof over our heads, and yes those bond payments make a dent in our salaries, but it means we have a place to live.

It's weird how sometimes when we're just too lazy to DO something, life gives you a kick on the behind to help you do it!!!

I've been thinking for the past few months that I want to donate M's old clothes and toys to a charity. BUT I've never actually made time to find out what charity is situated in our area. So the past week or so I told Renier almost every day about me wanting to take the stuff to the charity...so today we got the letter from the creche to say that any donations (food and clothing for a 5-6 year old) will be appreciated cause one of the families who's child is in the creche is struggling. So I decided that tonight I will raid my grocery cupboard and this weekend I'll be shopping for 5-6year old clothing haha

THEN I received an e-mail from my friend..they're getting things together for Nazareth house in Cape Town..they look after abandoned babies,old people and children with disabilities. So now I'm going to sort out M's old clothing, I've got a bag of Huggies nappies that I didn't use, a tin of formula and toiletries that they need and I will send it via my friend to them.

SO these opportunities to help people came to me even though I didn't even make an effort!! I feel so ashamed now but also good to know that I can help out. It makes me appreciate what I've got so much more. Yes my job sucks but who cares, at least it gives us food and a roof over our head!! Geez I'm so flippen ondankbaar!!!
