Thanks, but unfortunately first round was unsuccessful, but it's fine - I am planning on doing four rounds - on day 2 of Fertomid now.

My FS wants me to take only Vit B6 and Folic Acid - and nothing else. But as I have been sick this entire winter, I'm also on 1000mg Vit C a day and Mum Omega as advised by my GP.

Good luck!

ME: 40 - stage 4 endo, left tube removed

Hi Bea,

When do you get your results from your 1st AI?

I wish you everything of the best.... :-)

I know it is extremely hard.....

I went to see the Dietician on MOnday who specialises in PCOS, and she confirmed that I have insulin resitance, 1 side effect of PCOS, and she put me on an eating plan... So we will see how it goes, fingers crossed.

Our 1st session for AI is in February, FS wants me to be on Maxivit plus and Inofolic for 3 months before we start.

Are you on anything?

Hi Megatyty, sorry that you are going through this. I know it's very difficult, but now that you are at the right person - i.e. a fertility specialist - you will at least get the right help. And they are looking at both you and hubby - something which gynae's often neglect to do. Grrrrrr

It is a long road though - I've been diagnosed with endometriosis in September last year - it's more than a year later now and I've just had my first Artificial Insemination after being on a "home plan" for three months. I'm very hopeful, because I know I'm in good hands, but I am preparing myself for at least four rounds of AI.

Good luck for the journey ahead. Hang in there!

Hi All,

I have been TTC for the past 2 years, the beginning of this year, I knew something was wrong, My husband and I were together for 11 years before we got married, and immediately wanted to start a family.

I made an appointment to see my Gynae, Dr Meiring in March this year and got an appointment in June, when I went in, he did a check, and found a growth in my womb,
He immediately scheduled me for a laparoscopy & hysteroscopy on the 22 june 2012.

I got my results a week later that confirmed the growth was benign, and that I was not ovulating,

He immediately started me on Clomid (Fermotid 50) to help me ovulate.

Its been 4 cycles, and he confirmed last week that it is not working,

He referred me to a FS, Dr Edelstein, who confirmed that I have PCOS,

DH also had a SA, and his morphology was 2%.

He has advised that I should go and see a dietician who specialies in PCOS, and has started myself and DH on meds for the next 3 months,

He says, that DH needs another SA in February 2013, and then he will start with AI

I am extremely depressed, scared, feeling useless, and just need some positive thoughts.... :-(
