Shocking!
So glad there are still doctors like Dr Constantinides, who are willing to help.

Hi Despiraat,

I am so sorry to hear about your ordeal! It is really shocking that a private hospital doesn't have any emergency gyneas on hand. However you are not the first one that I have heard of where doctors refuse to help in an emergency situation. (So much for that oath they take, hey??). My genea was also one of the doctors who are willing to help while in an emergency situation nobody wanted to touch this one women who was dying of an ectopic pregnancy. All the doctors thought that this women wasn't going to make it, so no one wanted to be the doctor treating her while she died. My doctor agreed to operate and she is alive because he was the only doctor willing to take the risk. All doctors certainly are not the same...

I can totally understand your shock. You arive at a private hospital thinking, Okay, I am in good care now...Then they tell you, sorry there is no doctor!! Crazy.

Hope you recover quickly and feel yourself again.

For 2 weeks I had such bladder infection symptons, after various antibioticas from my GP I went to a urologist, she immediatetly advised me to see a gynae as none of the antibiotics weren't working. This was where the problems started. You can't get in with you own gynae as she is fully booked 4 months in advance. This is the same with all the other gynaes, you have to go on an emergency waiting list with 20 emergencies in front of you. All this while you feel you want to die. Eventually after various blood tests and cat scans that my urologist requested, she got me in with a gyne (Dr Constantinides). He saw me at 10:00 on Monday and at 12:30 I was in theatre.

He removed the cystist on my ovaries and removed all the Endo that he could find. Immediately the pain was gone. Thanks to Dr Constantinides that was willing and able to help a woman in distress. I am seeing him on Tuesday to remove the stitches from the op.

I think my mind is made up, I am moving from my current gynae of 9 years to Dr Constantinides.

The worst feeling is that if you are sick no one wants to help you, not even the emergency unit at a local private hospital.
