Ovarian Drilling

I too was diagnosed with PCOS beginning of Jan 2013. After trying to conceive for a few months and nothing
happended, I went to the dr who diagnosed PCOS. I was put on clomid for the first month but it did
nothing for me. I then went for the laparoscopy ovarian drilling in June 2013, rested for a month and then
was given Femara and Menopur. We tried at home for 2 months with this protocol but still BFN. I then
changed from my normal gynae to a brilliant fertility specialist at the Kloof Hospital - this was October 2013.
In November 2013, he prescribed Femara and Gonal F - I had to give myself the injections for a few days
and I had to see the FS a few times until the eggies were mature enough. I had a mature egg on both sides
and triggered with Lucrin. On the 5th of December, we did IUI (Artificial insemination) and it worked!

I am 23 weeks pregnant with a little girl today - and feeling very blessed! All the glory to our Wonderful
Father in Heaven.

Metmorfin and Clomid are so different in the effects and tasks the pills preform.

Metmorfin did nothing for me so I stopped it and I am now on clomid.

Just take your clomid at night. BUT BEWARE - you will be VERY moody

Hi everyone!

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. The doctor also think I might have endometrioses too (because of my painful periods). I am going to have a laparoscopy ovarian drilling on the 5th of May. I am not scared of the operation, since I am in the hands of a very good doctor. I just want to hear if anyone has ovarian drilling success stories. I do not want to get my hopes up.

Also, I have been on Metmorfin (Glucophage) for almost six months now and unfortunately it did not do much to relieve my PCOS symptoms. The doc said that I will start my first round of Clomid after the operation, but I'm just scared that if my body doesn't react positively to the metmorfin that it might not react to the Clomid as well. Any thoughts?
