Its :swear: ed if you tel me!

No one is gonna tell me I cant spank my child - if he needs a hiding - he is gonna get one - that is how its gonna be.

I dont think us moms abuse our children.. we just discipline them..

I agree, I've always thought a smack on the bum or hand quickly stops them from doing something again - or at least too often. Esp when its a danger to themselves.

Sjoe. I'm screwed. My poor child gets a spank on the nappy almost daily at the moment...

Screw driver in the plug point? Smack.
Climbed onto the kitchen counter and unpacked the glass cupboatd? Smack
Climbed up the burglar bars in his room and dangled from the curtain rod? Smack
Climbed over the pool fence? Mild heart failure followed by smack!

Seriously - wtf are you supposed to do with the crazy toddlers?!

Ok, so this debate can go on for years, we all know it.

But with the new proposed law about fineing parents who smack their child - see the issue I have with this is that - I feel one smack on my childs bum is really not the end of the world, and how I raise my child is my damn business. - I could not smack herand call her all kinds of horrific things - and thatr is legal, but smacking isn't?

Also, I get the law is there to prevent child abuse - but lets be serious - those people who beat the hell out of their children know what they are doing is wrong, and law or no law are going to continue doing it.
