I am a November baby and went to school at the right age and coped alright. Definitely no straight A's but I was average.
I had friends younger than me in my class who were straight A's too!
My husbands cousin has his bday in November and was held back a year, he excelled at school but was really small built so it was rather odd that he was the oldest yet smallest in his grade. His father was also exceptionally smart though.

I guess you need to look at her progress throughout this year and request feedback from the current teachers on an ongoing basis (ie after each assignment if she struggled to complete something then you need to be aware to keep in mind for later on).

Good luck!

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

ready for school ?? was created by cmuller
hey moms !

my little girl is now 5 years (turning 6 in December) and we have the option to keep her in grade R for next year or send her to grade 1 - what do i do ?
pre-school advises the "school readiness" test but that doesnt always work as my newphew went through that and they gave the go ahead but then after the first trimester, school advised the parents to put him back into pre-school ........

she's clever and apparently not shy to stand up for herself at pre-school but how do i really know she's ready (or not !)

this is a really big thing for me and i wanna do the right thing :-)
