Cutlery for pre-school kids

Mr Price Home also has a nice set - the knife isnt sharp but does work like a butter knife - helps my kids cut their own food (thanks to baby led weaning, my kids are independent eaters now)

I like to help my child reach independence as soon as possible because it is vital to building a healthy self-esteem. When it come to eating I like to encourage her to try and cut her own food into smaller pieces. I could only find cutlery set with a stainless steel knife at dischem, but it was terribly small and can't really cut anything except a banana.

After searching at numerous stores and shops for children's sized cutlery I finally found the cutest set at yuppiechef. I can really recommend this because it is sized for a child from 3 - 8 years of age. It is dishwasher safe and my little girl loves to pretend play that the caterpillars are eating her food!
