To be the best of my knowledge you need to register your facility if you have 6 or more children. I understand that the requirements are quite extensive, contact your local council for specifics.
I live in a suburb where there isn't an aftercare facility for primary school aged children besides those provided by the primary schools (which are not open during the school holidays), and therefore am thinking of starting my own aftercare facility.
I would really like to hear from mums who have started such a facility and would be willing to impart advise. It's a huge need in our area, so I want to do a full feasibility before I put any money into it.
