I don't think there is anything that really works, maybe the duvet as Julz suggested. And soon sleep will be eluding you for a different reason!!

Good luck, you are almost there!

Ahh... it sucks i know, im now 38 weeks and wish i could say it gets better. Try loads of pillows in all positions, even sleeping semi upright has helped me a few nights. Afternoon naps are a must! Not long to go, and then its waking up for a different reason! Hope you get a good nights sleep!

Lucy shame it is really tough near the end. I used lots of pillows but the fact is that you just don't sleep well. I remember not being able to turn nicely so I would wake up lame on the one side etc. Try to stick to your left and maybe put a duvet under you to sleep on which may give you padding etc.

Its amazing how uncomfortable we are during pregnancy but as soon as lo is with us we completely forget the pain as it is instanly gone.

Not long now. xxx

Lucy it's not long now before your little one will be here. What frustrated me about this part was that everyone told me to get lots of sleep and you actually want to but it's just not that easy.

Have you tried sleeping in an upright position , I had severe heartburn and couldn't sleep in any pther position. At least I was comfy and the hours I could sleep between the loo breaks , gaviscon sips was quality sleep.

it might sound cliché, but have you tried using all the cushions and pillows behind your back, between your knees and under your bump (when lying on your left side)? At the end I was sleeping on my stomach but with my right leg up if that makes sense. I just couldn't get comfortable any other way.

Mother Nature definitely has a sense of humour, preparing us (thoroughly!) for the pyjama drills to come!

Have a nice warm bath before bed. Also you can try the rescue remedy tablets. I found the Clicks brand helped. The tablets don't contain alcohol. I remember that stage and klk is right, I do miss it but it's hard to enjoy when you're so tired.
