Anyone with a dh who is a stepfather?

Working mom that's exactly what my DH says! So I try and make more effort now for alone time with him and to make him feel more important and it's definately working!!

I am a step mom and I know what its like to be on the receiving end of a step child. I do not condone the fact that your DH is sulking. An apology is an apology and it should have been accepted immediately.

Its really hard being a step parent so please, please, please, understand that sometimes we need a little more attention when the lo's are asleep.

Thanks ChanM, its relieving to hear that sum1 else has dealt with similar problems! And yes it is hurtful esp 4 a mom bcoz we guard our lo's & their feelings like hawks.
Saw that u were preggies-so glad 4 u, it will b nice 2 have a lo 2 complete ur family!

My DH is stepdad to my almost 8 year old daughter. We've had similar experiences in the past and I got so hurt by it. We eventually went for councelling and it made all the difference. I'm now pregnant with "our" first baby and all I can say is thank goodness we sorted out all those silly little things and are in a wonderful place right now.

Im so p'd off with my dh its just not true.
My 4yr old was rude 2 him when he picked her up from daycare & he completely flipped, came home in a foul mood, has ignored us this evening. Even when she apologized, he wouldnt look her in the eye to accept it.
So im beyond upset with him & i dont feel that i shud do any sweet talking. I encourage him 2 discipline them but this is childish, after all she's 4yr not him.
Does Any1 else experience this & what have you done in a similar situation?
