Gynae's rooms just phoned me... going for another scan on 7 June! 11 sleeps to go!! Then i'm going for the Down's fetal scan at 12 weeks. Is anyone else doing that scan??

Who will be going to the baby indaba this weekend?

Chris-if the count doubles it is great. NORMALLY dr's say the doubling rate is a greater indication of multiples than the initial beta count. So the quicker the count doubles the greater chance of multiples. My doubling time was 26hrs... (it was faster than the median for twins and triplets....HEEEHEE) so we will see whether it is multiples and judge by that if it is a reliable method.

Awesome Chris! The main this is that the count has doubled in 2 days! At least you know now to expect some spotting so it won't be a huge shock when it does happen!

Got counts back, it was 579, so its just over the double count, they are very happy with the count, been praying that if there is multiples that it wont be more than 2 (lol). They said I must carry on with cyclogest and vitamins and I asked about the other embryo's, she said that I will have spotting, but to make sure its not bleeding, as the embryo's that haven't implanted have to make their way through, so will have to expect that. First appointment is the 14 June, just over 2 weeks to go.

Maryke - this is the first and long awaited baba. I do think there is only 1, but if more, then only 2 (maybe its just my hope and prayers speaking now, lol), we would like 2 but definatley happy with whatever we are blessed with! Tommorow I'll be 4 weeks, I think I will go for bloods next week anyway to just make sure for myself that everything is going ok, and if they are anywhere near the 4000 mark, well, we will just see

Maryke no more bleeding / spotting for me!! Thank goodness! Even the brownish discharge is gone!

But my doc did say he could see where the bleeding was coming from and that there could still be another bleed or my body could just absorb it. But he said if I start bleeding again I must not freak out because it's the last of the pocket filled with blood next to the sac. Just hoping it decides to stay away because no matter how hard you try you do stress when you see blood!

Hi there everyone! i am new!

i am so excited we have been TTC since October 2009 and finally got a BFP! i am now exactly 6 weeks today. we have a boy already who is 3 and half so we are hoping for a girl. i am due on 20 January but i hope teh baby will come two days early on my birthday!

i hope to chat with all of you. right now i have no symptoms except for sore boobs and sometimes sleeping at 7pm lol. i am due for my first scan and bloods next week at exactly 7 weeks.

Chris I take it this is your first baba, I have to bite my lip to keep the tears away here at the office, I hope you enjoy every munutr, I went for bloods at 4w5d and the count was 4225, I also had cramping up to 7 weeks was very worried but my gyne says it's normal if no bleeding you should be fine, do you think there might be two?
