Tanz - I took magnesium tablets from any pharmacy - 150mg is enough and that helps stop the uterus contracting - I prefer the natural stuff

Rakker - shoo you are a wealth of knowledge! will turn to you for tips for sure..

Tanz and Rakker - I still have the funny after taste and I think it will continue until the end - although it's better than it was during the first trimester and yeas Rakker you are right the minty chewing gum helps.

Niknaks, there is actually a word for that aftertaste caused by everything: dysgeusia. Not very common, but I also have it. No matter what I eat or drink, while I'm eating or drinking it is OK, but afterwards I just want to puke. It basically is a change in your body's interpetation of taste and smell. I have read up on it and it seems there are 2 things that might help. Firstly minty chewing gum (helps for me) and then gargling with water and a bit of baking soda twice a day at least.

I did call the doctor, she said that it's quite normal. Might just give me something for my womb to relax. As long as it's not red blood and there is no pain...

So I have this metal taste in my mouth today...
