@Betty_F I do hope Sarah is better today I remember forever dreading th blocked nose with my girls as it was one incidence where you always felt useless as a mom. Don't mention DSTV my girls would just die without their Disney I like the fact that there is now Disney Junior as th older one always forced th young one to watch older shows but for me it has led to incistent fights over the remote. At least for you M has many years without remote being contested.

@Tshepy envying yu with growing baby Ora, can't imagine how you just can't believ she is there and she is yours. But since you have done th first injection th others will be easier. Where do yu go for th baby clinic, am hoping to go to th Dischem one as it is closer, would be glad to here other's experiences on this.
@PJ. I just pray all went well and you are holding baby now.
@Tanasha envy you for th 6 months leave and I don't think you shd worry abt th 2 months no pay you guys will. Manage and before yu know it 6 months will be over. I already feel sad having left work.

AFM was early for my weekly check up at the Mowbray Maternity was number 9 got there at 6.30 and by 8.15 I was done and we'll th Gynae thinks we are still set for our VBAC th only unfortunat part is havin to see a diff Gynae everytim yu visit but th service is good. So am all hoping for a safe delivery

Hi ladies

Raining cats and dogs in CT. I have had fly and Sarah has a stuffy nose today poor thing is struggling to breath.. Been camping out in my room today - nice and cost and Sarah has been such a good girl.

The builders removed our tv dish yesterday and we won't have tv until Monday. The house is so quiet, not sure M is going to cope without the Disney channel.

Anyhow I gave S some Bennets nose drops which seem to help, also used the nasal aspirator. Never used it with M and thought it was a strange thing.

MsDee welcome to the world of one hand typing. You get used to it. Busy feeding S now as I type. Congrats on the 600g that is a big weight gain. The clinic sister told me that S should gain 150g at least per week... So far so good, will weigh her again next week. I am not too worried though as she has plenty of wet nappies every day.

Thamu- so pleased that you got some presses! I know how you feel not sleeping. I had that problem throughout my pregnancy...I was the resident early morning typist.

Esmari- glad insurance decided to pay. Strange how the newspaper or a report to Argus action changes their tune fast fast...

Tshepy- not looking forward to the injections..happy that you are enjoying being mommy.
I am so not looking forward to the injections. We are going the private route, so first injection is at 8 weeks. Let's hope not too painful and there is little reaction.

Solo, Tanasha, your turns will be soon enough and then all the mommies need to come back so we can discuss injections and nappies etc.

Anyhow - time to fetch M from school...hope I get a gap in the rain.

Solo next week already!! I am sure you will do just fine as a mommy! I was an au-apir after matric and never changed a nappy before in my life either, you will learn and then after 2 days you will be a pro! I am also just going to rely on the mother instincts everyone keeps talking about.

And 2 out of my 6 months maternity leave will be unpaid, so we will have to budget very well for those 2 months!

I have also been refused to come back to work part time, so now we are looking at other options. On the one hand i would love to be able to stay home with the baby all day, but i dont think i am a SAHM type of person. We will also be fine living off of DH's salary, but i keep thinking it is is also nice to have an extra salary? we have been able to save so much in the last few years with both of us having good jobs and we can always afford luxeries, so I am abit scared of loosing that? Quess I will just have to wait and see how I feel once baby e is here, but I have a feeling that I already know what that will be

Solo so happy you and BF are in a good place right now! Happy mommy and daddy + happy baby = 1 big happy family!

I only have 2.5 working days left!! My replacement is still annoying the hell out of me though! He is such a little "gatkruiper" (couldnt think of an english word for that one!). But i think maybe i am just secretly scared that he will do a better job than me oh well that is all worries for when I go back to work in 6 glorious months!

This thread is getting very quiet with all of the babies being born, and I am last on the list, so I will probably be the last one talking here to myself!

Congratulations Laurak on your bundle of joy it just remind me of the day my lo was born I couldn't believe it, it actually took a while for me to.
PJ good luck on your big day enjoy the last hours of being preggie.
To all the ladies battling to sleep hang in there it will be over you won't even remember cause the reward is greatful.To all those on maternity leave take it easy and rest as much as you can,

AFM:took baby for the 6weeks vaccination on Monday oh boy why didn't anyone warm me that its 3needles on the thighs I actually shed a tear and to my suprise she took it well she stopped crying as soon as I am done dressing her and she immediately fall asleep.I was looking forward to sleepless night but to my suprise she slept the whole night she only woke up for feeds.Last night she woke up from 2am up until 6am I don't know if it has to do with the vacc,she was not crying she just wanted to be held.I am enjoying motherhood experience. She doubled her birth weight she is now 4,1kg at 6weeks not a tiny baby anymore
