Shoo, ok I thought as much but its nicer to get more than one opinion who has had/heard of experience cos my boss's wife was also 4expecting trips and she had contractions at 26w and they gave her the steroids and her babies came at 33w (which is common for trips), ok, so Im feelign alot better, I think the one lady that did go into labour early (this is a week after the steroids) with twins foubd it easy to blame th esteroids, but Im no doctor either thats why I queried, thanks

Hi Chris

My SIL went into labour at 27 weeks (had cramps and started dilating)

She was in hospital for about 3 days on strict bed rest and her LB was also given the steroid shot/s to develope his lungs

Luckily the contrctions stopped and she carried up until about 38 weeks when she went into labour all on her own.

So to me (and I am not expert) it sounds like a load of crap!

Would like to hear what some other ladies have experienced

Hi Chris

Im not sure if what you hear about the steroid injections are true or not?

But I had a steroid injection at 32 weeks to boost my babies lungs as well. He was only born at 39 weeks. I didnt have any pre-mature labour signs nor have I heard that it will cause u to go into early labour. I was told that this injection is given, should you go into early labour there is a much higher chance that babies lungs will be developed & he/she will breathe on there own.

Hope this helps!

Hi Ladies

I know there is a topic on Newborn and baby advice, but wanted to know some stuff on pregnancy when I am having a situation or something. (Im sure Meags is going to be a very busy lady) ;) Not all pregnancies are the same and we dont always find answers, if someone has had the same 'particular' experienc you could help?

I just wanted to know if anyone had the steroid injections to boost babies lungs and if so do yo u think it brings on early labour. Iad my steroid shot yesterday and today and someone had said that to me, but I have been having alot of BH (which I know is normal), Im just concerned that my babies already early arrival is going to happen even earlier now?
