Pampers vs Huggies

Keep the nappies you have bought, you can always return and swap them at a later stage if they are unopened (I got loads of stuff at my baby shower that I wasn't going to use and Baby City swapped with no questions asked). I use cloth nappies and only a disposable at night. I've used Huggies, Cuddlers, Pampers and Pick n Pay brand and I just go with whichever is on special at the time or what I was given (I had several half-used packs from friends). Honestly I preferred the Pick n Pay brand ones (they have a new one on the market, not the plasticky ones which I've also used)

I swore when I was preggies with my son that I would be a Huggies mom. So I used the newborn huggies. Then changed to Pampers nr 2 because the Huggies was out of stock. Never looked back since then I got leaks with both brands but like Julz said, its more due to mommy error than the nappy itself. If it leaks, time to go up a size. Also my little guy is really tiny and skinny so the huggies just feels too bulky and wide for him and I found it pinched him on the inside of his legs.

Not sure about boys. I use both pampers and the new Huggies gold. No problem with either. Actually love the Huggies because of the elastic at the back. My girl is 4 months now and I don't change her nappy at night.
As one of the other moms said, might be the baby. What works for one might not work for the other

I only used huggies on Liam from birth and we had no problems until they changed the huggies gold nappies then Liam got a rash. We're using pampers now but i'm not happy with it at all. Pampers doesn't have the elastic at the back and once it's wet it starts to leak. If it weren't for the rash i would definetly go back to huggies gold.

My sil only uses pampers. She has huggies she got as gifts, and she says its not as nice as pampers. I never liked huggies myself!
