Help: Need a Gynecologist in Pretoria

Dr trouw delivered my 2nd baby. He is really an excellent doctor. Not to talkative but will answer your questions honestly. He also let me try for a Vbac, although it ended up in a C-sec.

My sister in law is with Dr Kleynhans. She is also very happy with her.

I just found out no 3 is on the way and need a bit of help with a Gynecologist in Faerie Glen area in Pretoria

Can any one refer me to a Gynecology in the area, my problem is this the doc that delivered my other two is just too far from my and hubby's work we both work near boardwalk and would prefer a doc as close as possible as we both have to take the time off from work so I can get to the doc, I have tried Faerie Glen hospital but they say Wilgers and wilgers is too far for me and hubby.

Please ladies its urgent as I have to make my first appointment and I think I might already be +/- 3 to 3 and a half months.

At the Wilgers I would Recommend Dr Febe Backer or Dr H de Meulenaere.

If you still need a gyne in Pretoria, I'll can defanetly tell that I am very happy with Dr Chris Niemandt at Wilgers.

He using medical aid rates. It is my second pregnancy but my first with him.

Dr Vrey or Dr Niemandt at Wilgers hospital. They are partners and work in the same office. I was with Dr. Vrey and very happy with him, I also went to Dr. Niemandt while my dr. was on leave.

Dr Karen Minnaar at UNITAS. She is very personable and very good. She is a younger gynie so all modern treatment styles etc.

I am first time mom and really appreciated her taking her time with me and explaining things well.

I am with Dr Richard Joubert at Pretoria East. He is youngish - about 40 - and quite modern. Doesnt over do anything - but syas if there is a reason for tests, he wouldn't hesitate. He did my 20 week assesment too.

I think his rates are normal - although we pay a surcharge for the birth - but most Dr's do this.

His ladies at reception are also very nice - so you feel comfortable. I only went to him when I found out I was pregnant, a GP recommended him because he has good bedside manners.

I am trying for natural and am 35 years old. He has no problem with it.

Traouw, Pantzazis and Sher are also good I believe.

I am so happy with Joubert. And we had our hospital tour of Pretoria East and it looked very nice. They are very accommodating.

When are you due? Joubert is on leave from end of Nov to mid Dec - perfect for me!
