Congratulations proud mum!

I never took any vitamins with my first pregnancy and my pregnancy was very healthy and my boy is big and strong, in my second pregnancy I took ALL rthe vitamins including iron supplements and one of my babies was lacking nutrients so I think the vitamins can help but they don't really play such a huge role in the baby's health, remember. Baby will NEVER go short of what it needs as it will take from your body, it's your body that will take the biggest knock. I'm sure taking your vits from now will be just fine..

Makes for a short pregnancy for you hey!

I have a friend in the Jan/feb group who also only found out at 17w about her second pregnancy.

Wow! Congrats!

With my son I was not advised to take prenatals until 16w. So I didn't have folic acid. And he is a healthy, perfect 6y old!

All will be fine.

By your description regarding kicks, it sounds as if you could be around 16 to 18 weeks. I am 18w, and just started feeling more prominent, powerfull kicks.
When do you find that out?

OMW Proudmum!!! That is sooooo exciting! But I can totally understand your worries. With my LG I found out 2 weeks into the pregnancy but still worried about what i had been eating and especially DRINKING in those 2 weeks and how would it affect the baby!

Congratulations! Please let us know as soon as you know how far along u are. Would be interesting if you've gone an entire trimester not knowing you were preggy!

Thank you Shonna

Not at all but I'm sure second trimester, if I can feel kicks.

I really hope not, I assumed my first was so healthy because I took vitamins from th start and you read how important they are especially folic acid in the early stages

Hi

I have a daughter, she is two years and two months old. You would think I would notice very early the signs of my second pregnancy, which we have just found out! We are very excited and hubby just phoned to confirm our first appointment in two weeks time. So cannot wait!

This is the silly part, about a week back I started feeling movements but very slight and didnt think much about it, was so busy and things were really hectic and I just thought it was my imagination. then on Tuesday I got the shock of life when i felt these powerful kicks! So hubby comes home with a pregnancy test and before i could even finish wee wee on it it shwoed positive lol.
The thing is ever since I was a teen I have had irregular periods, I would go in for 5 months without one, so just assumed this was one of those times, never had any morning sickness, tender breasts, my tummy hasnt even grown much but for a month it just felt bloated so thought that why it looked bigger. I do feel very stupid and embarrassed, I mean I'm not a first time mum.

Although I am happy I am very stressed because it means i never took folic acid and only started taking vitamins yesterday. I am so worried how will this affect the baby?
