mmmmm, the periods are not ideal, but for me the best option at the moment. You dont have much choices as most contraceptives will influence your hormones.....Suck being a woman sometimes.

I would only introduce after 4months, but considering that M is prem, just be extra careful and wait a bit longer. Have you ever heard of Body Stress Release therapy? Does wonders for colic and reflux, my mom and dad are registered practitioners.

BTW, do you know of a nice place for very cheap that you can recommend to stay over for a night in RBAY?

I will do the same with Liam that I did with Miceala, not entirely Baby led weaning, but a combination of the two. Just feel more comfortable with it that way. But follow your baby and do what suits him best and you are comfortable with

I have been looking around at non-hormonal options. But dont think I can handle the heavy periods. I already have heavy periods. I can't even use tampons anymore. I use night pads my whole period. But I think thats due to the PCOS.

Its just interesting to see other peoples experiences.

Do you know when its ok to give rooibos tea? I heard it helps colic etc but dont want to introduce too soon either. I will obviously check with my midwife. But whats your opinion?

Been reading an article in a mag about baby led weaning. What do you think of it?

Chanz, to be honest, it was sore and uncomfortable to put in. took about ten min. as soon as it is in there is no pain. the thing that hurt (and sorry for the tmi) is when they put the device in to keep the opening open, it almost feels like baby's head is coming out again,lol. Not half as bad as I expected it to be. have been bleeding since, not heavy. /hope the bleeding doesnt last long.

From googling I have seen they say your periods are heavier and longer when you have it, but I am fine with that.

The mirena on the other hand takes away your period, but Im not keen on hormone treatment etc

are you considering it in future?

My little boy is doing great! Apart from the first night, he only wakes up once for a feed and then sleeps till morning! DH went back to work today so this is my first day alone with the baby... I have inverted nipples and so I have to use nipple shields, but even with them, he sucks like a champ!!
