Lindy about the names. What about Aimee-Lea. I thought that was quite different. Family friends of ours named their little girl that and its not common. The spelling I mean.

Charissa
Isabelle/a
I also love Zoe en Chloe

If we had a girl next we love Mikayla Elizabeth.
What thought or picture comes to mind when you think of your little girl?

I will keep checking names and give you ideas where I find ;)

I love the name Sophia but if we had a girl she would be teased coz in afrikaans it will sound like so-vee-n-Myburgh LOL :woohoo:

Hello ladies

How is everyone today?
Welcome Bule, I am sure you will feel home in no time ;)

I'm home :woohoo: Asked the gynae very nicely to rather send me home last nite. Couldnt sleep in hospital, its so full and apparently september is the busiest month for babies to be born. LOL all the summer couples making babies. My contractions stopped yesterday morning. Thank goodness. It seems Michael is keen to meet us already lol too cute. But he must just hang in for another 4 weeks. Gynae gave me 2 steroid injections, antibiotics, probiotics and tablets to help stop the contractions. So if Michael comes we are ready. Just glad he is staying put. Got our shower this weekend. Would have been really funny if I couldnt make it.

Love ALL the bump pics. Really are so precious. Frame them ladies or do belly casts ;)

Ah Lindy sorry to hear about your hubbys China visit. BUT I am sure your little girl will wait till Daddy is home ;) And whoo hoo :woohoo: for the SAHM part. So glad to hear that, I remember how badly you wanted that. And you will love it. Its an adjustment that is so worth it.

Elrike- daai bordjie is regtig oulik met Edrich se naam op. Dis tog so lekker om "creative" te raak en goedjies te verf ens.

To all the other ladies HELLO, so nice to see everyone chatting.

So whats everyones latest niggly pregnancy symptoms?

Gosh I envy you ladies that can do the deed. Hubby and I havent been allowed to do anything since 20 weeks  LOL we counting the days till my 6 week check up  And murphys law, hubby and I have always had a healthy appetite in that department. But ag its worth abstaining, its kept Michael safe. So we dont complain :P

Lindy you made me laugh so hard....my hubby does get nervous too and I also told him to just get over it.
Shania sounds like a very nice name...I love uncommon names
I think its a brilliant idea to get the story book for hubby to read to baby.....think I'll also try that since DH is away a lot.

Hi Deja, thanks for the tummy compliment girl *blushing*.
Yes, I've planned a homebirth....am too excited myself. I was lucky to get an awesome midwife to help me and I can't wait. Been having to practice a lot of relaxation and breathing so I don't tense up and be overwhelmed with the pain.
Found a great sound clip with the sound of falling rain and it is amazing at relaxing me.

I've been reading books on natural child birth, I've got Birthing from with in and a book my midwife gave me written by an OB/GYN in the 40's about using relaxation to assist women to give birth naturally and virtually painlessly.
Both these books were absolute eye openers especially the older book.

I have prayed about it as well and asked God to be with me through this journey and if I'm not suppose to have the homebirth, may He put barriers so that it doesn't happen...I will understand.

Hey Bule thanks for the article Lol very interesting. My sister in law's baby's name is Michaela it is a beautiful name. U won't believe it but since I was a little girl I have always wanted to (if I had a girl) name my baby Zoe, but when Michaela was born her second name is Zoe so I can't use that and Chloe is the closest to that, but thanks for the feed back.

Another name I also like is Shania.

Hey Jafraser thanks for the update and sorry about the heartburn.

Deja - Lol hubby is going to be so happy that somebody voted for his name hehehe, thanks for the advice....hubby is not really involved and I think he is shy to talk to baby so tomorrow I am going to buy him a fairytale book and ask him to pick one story and read it to her every night...from there onwards I will talk about daddy every day and ask her please please please to wait for him. I am feeling allot better about it today...also been praying allot about it. Lol you make me laugh cause baby does the same to my hubby's back when I'm trying to get frisky hehehehe  and yes I agree it really doesn't help at all...Hubby says he is just nervous and I'm like well dammit I have never deprived you so just suck it up and help me out here hahahaha  :tmi:

Hi girls

CHAOTIC day. It's always chaotic when I am at home. I take my hat off to ALL SAHM's and now I'm going to become one. The days are just CRAZY. I promise you I get so much more done when I am at work.
BUT I enjoy it so much.

Lizel, daai video is omtrent amazing.

Welcome Bulelwarm! Please tell more about your planned homebirth. It's so exciting!

Lindy, shame, I feel for you. It must be reallyl stressful that hubby is going away. My hubby worked away a lot as well and I also worried about that. I said he is not allowed to go out of the country in July but my due date was 21 July.
Just remember, MOSTLY, first babies come a bit late. At the earliest your baby will possibly come at 38 weeks if all goes well but I agree with Bulelwarm, talk to your baby. Tell her daddy is going to China and while you dont want to tell her what to do, it would be great if she can hang on till a bit longer. At least your due date is only in December. Just pray and believe it will all work out. Then take it VERY EASY from now on.

We decided on Nienke's name the evening before she was born. I really like Kate.

Elrike, jou baba is 'n baie lekker gewig. Yay vir 'n datum! My eksamen maak op sy geboorte datum klaar. :-)

Bulelwarm, you have a beautiful tummy.

Claire, you look great to me! Nienke has ALWAYS been clingy, so I don't reallly notice a change. She is obsessed with her mom and has been since day one and it's never changed. So yes, she is still clingy but not more than other times. I also have to carry her and I really can't anymore, she is getting too heavy. She sits on top of me all the time , which I can handle but what I can't handle, is her sticking her elbow into my tummy when she readjusts her position. SORE.

Claire and Elrike, have you considered going to a chiro for your backs? It works WONDERS! I have been for two sessions and NO MORE back pain. Really amazing. Elrike, probeer ook as jy saam met Luwan swem net bietjie borsslag-skop. Al hou jy vas teen die rand en skop so. So 10 na 20 keer. Dit help om joints los te maak en dit help vir pyn. Kan nie vir jou se watter verskil dit vir my maak nie.

Lizel, hoe voel jy nou? I read on our thread you are a bit down about Zelri. I also feel like that lots of times but am trying to really keep her involved with everything and she talks to baby and I tell her how much her brother loves her etc etc. It's difficult but I think completely normal for us to feel like that.

Was it Tanz who said she also had sex dreams? I think it's normal but YO! Last time I was pregnant, I dreamt about this rescue worker at the SAPS and this time AGAIN!!! Hahaha! (I did tell my hubby though.) So weird because he really isn't my cup of tea AT ALL. Lately I have just been having very erotic dreams about my husband. Which explains a lot, since he thinks its completely weird to shag with my massive tummy and baby kicking him in his back when I try and cuddle him doesn't really help to get the groove on. :-)
