Leaking Boobs

I started leaking at 17 weeks. I had a healthy pregnancy and my baby is now a month old.
Don't activate the nipples too much as this releases oxytocin and can induce labour (whether you are leaking or not)
From 36 weeks start hand expressing in the shower to prepare your nipples for BFing!!

hi, yes i had it from 19 weeks !! flippen terrible to start so early on! I was told not to play or squeeze the nipples too much as it can stimulate labour ... i had such an easy preg that the leaking boobs was one of the worst parts to bear. that and starting high blood pressure at 36 weeks which eventually led to a c-sec instead of natural as baby went into distres

quite envious of you nearing your newborn arrival such a miracle..

Ahh, but interesting fact, during pregnancy you develop more milk ducts/channels which remain after pregnancy, so a women who had supply problems with her first pregnancy needent have the same problems with subsequent ones because you add to the milk producing cells with each pregnancy:)

laurakim + Its pretty normal! My breasts started leaking round about the same time and I carried a full 40 weeks! Good Luck!

Completely normal. You can even hand express this colostrum and save it for when babies born:) (Wouldnt do this if you have had a complicated pregnancy). This can be used instead of formula if docs are concerned about blood sugar levels!

I leaked all over a retty dress at my SIL wedding. Needless to say I didnt ever go out without breastpads afterwards:)
