I had both my boys snipped after their pegs fell off. Its much easier and it healed very quickly. I had a Muslim Dr do it for us.

Evening ladies
Hope everyone is well?
Our big guy is having a circ in 3 weeks time.
Still haven't made up our mind about out newest addition though...
Wanted to know from those of you who snipped (or whose friends snipped): Were you happy with the outcome and if you had to make the decision again whether it will be the same? Did you witness the procedure?
Sorry bout all the question, but we have to make up our minds soon...

Not sure how prevalent it is in SA but I'm Muslim and we circumcise as well. I understand from my Jewish friends that they usually have a rabbi do it for religious reasons but we tend to have it done by a doctor - so there are doctors out there who probably do lots of little muslim boys and are very experienced.

Here I would also like to add that rather have someone who has experience do this like a urologist or paed or gp that does it often.

I had both my sons circumsiced at birth. It lasts for 7 days after that all finished. Seroulsy baby will be miserable for a day or two and the cap will fall off after about 7 days. You can have it done at a GP for about R400.

That's if you decide to have your baby circumsiced. Good luck and just to let you know I don't regret it at all.

It seems that people are choosing not to cut at the moment. It is personal choice and after chatting to many mom's it seems that it is the mom wanting it to be done as women tent to prefer snipped men. Just an observation on my part.
