I had a very good experience with Dr Benecke, he delivered my daughter 26th August 2011. He was straight to the point which is awesome as he didn't candy coat anything like some dr's do. with the first visit he told us what to expect from him and what he expects from us. He is gentle with you and has a good sense of humour which helps with the nerves especially with the first visit and the birth. I was in labour since 6 in the morning and he came and checked up continuously, I didnt want a c section so he let me lay until the evening but unfortunately baby didnt want to come down so I had to have a csection. I had a bit of a difficult csection and he was awesome, he didn't make me panic and kept me calm through it all. I had a blood transfusion the next day and he checked up on me all the time. I have no complaints about Dr Benecke, he is a very good dr and has a great personality.

Mienke, Dr Puzey was my previous Obgyn's back-up (they share rooms) and he was a bit hard handed with me. I had a kidney infection that caused contractions and he had to check if my cervix was still intact and he did an internal exam and let me tell you he was not very gentle...felt a bit like I had been to the Vet instead of the OBGYN, he wasn't friendly either, but that may have been because I was admitted at 1am and he had to be called in.

Cakes I am now with Dr Dumbril and I cannot stop singing his praises. Sp you know where to go if Dr Benecke is not for you.

hi ladies. dr benecke took over from dr huyser, who was a fantastic dr but relocated to australia some 8 yrs ago. my experience with benecke was bad. he had no bedside manner during my traumatic miscarriage. he was rude and overbearing and had no time for me. i changed gynae's immediately after that.

i'm with dr puzey now and i wouldnt trade him for anything. i'm not on medical aid anymore and would rather pay dr puzey cash because he is so attentive and thorough and professional and i love his witty humour.
