But I share your sentiment, this question has been done to death and I agree - get MA first if you want to get pregnant and are not satisfied with our wonderful public health care system.
This week some or other time on the news I heard that there is an investigation into MA that apparently "discriminate" against certain members like already pregnant women by giving them a year waiting period. And I was also thinking, what a lot of hog wash! Why can I plan and pay my MA every month and hope I will one day fall pregnant and then others who are already pregnant (and mostly, sigh, by "accident") can just walk in and claim like R40k from the MA.
But have we NOT JUST HAD THIS EXACT same freaking question on Moomie.
Last week.
We had it about a month before that.
And a month before that.
Seriously can I pay to have the thread from last week "pinned" to the beginning of the Moomie Thread.
Actually I will go and find it and bump it myself .... for freak sake - GET FKN MEDICAL AID BEFORE YOU HAVE SEX THAT YOU THINK YOU MIGHT GET PREGNANT FROM - NOT AFTERWARDS AND THEN HOPE A MEDICAL AID (AND THE OTHER CONTRIBUTORS) ARE GOING TO PAY!!!!

I would always also suggest a midwife assisted birth... It's very inexpensive and a good option for a healthy pregnant women who is keen on a natural birth
