My heart goes out to them - I cannot imagine the mixture of emotions they must be experiencing at this point. Strength to you all.

I'm not sure whether you are aware that Butterflies has a son Lior who has Trisomy 18. He is now over a year old. She also has a blog.

Mia was taken off all the machines. She is doing so good. Responds to her dads voice. She gets formula through tube (she has cleft palate), and had her first bowelm.

All of you will be in my thoughts These things are never easy and we never know the reasons for them either.

Little babies are such fighters, you see it with prem babies-so amazing.

My SIL baby died at 11 days from a congenital heart defect the doctors never picked up. It was the most emotional time, they were never given the option to operate etc as they did not know. We all believe he was sent to all of us for a special reason- and now we all have a guardian angel in heaven watching down on us.

Please keep us updated.

Your SIL is very lucky to have all the support and someone like you in her life, and its also nice of the hospital to allow the private room, visitors etc.

I was just there again. They are doing ok.... Baby Mia has lots of problems. Its the heart valves that is not closing properly, now the blood is mixing sometimes. Also something about the vein that goes to the lungs. And they also dont know what the shadow on the brain is. The pead gives her about 3 months. They can't operate because of the trisomie.

I am so sad about this. We are neighbors, and she will have to face me and my baby every day.. I am also very proud of them. This only made their faith stronger. Mia is a little miracle.
