:( I heard alot about Dr hansen so in 2008 my husband and I decided to go with him. We spent 2 years and sooo much money with no joy. Its true his staff is not friendly at all, its very hard to get a smile from them. Dr Hansen does not have a good atitude has well, he once asked me if I was really taking the injection. Because if I was then it should be working. Such an ass. (I left work and focused all my time to try and have a child. ) I took a break For a few month. I decided to take another route - Dr Colin.
His clinic has been different experience. It was a good move. :)

Hi
Did you ever find a female gynae that is good for fertility? The only one I could find is Dr. Ventress and now I'm getting a bit worried with all the reviews I have read.

Yes I went to see her in July. She was lovely. Thanks so much for recommending her. Unfortunately, since I have stage 4 endo and only one tube and ovary, she advised against doing IUI. She said it might mess up my hormones. She suggested we go straight to IVF, and recommended Dr Ramdeo at the C.A.R.E Clinic.

We've seen him and are starting IVF/ICSI next month. I've already started the down regulation with Lucron depot. Hoping to start stims mid nov, and ER and ET end Nov. Once I am pg, I go back to Candice. Hope I get a BFP and don't have to do another cycle of IVF/ICSI!

Me - 32 DH - 37
Married for 10 years
TTC with stage 4 endo since 2001.
Missed abortion in 2004.
Total of 4 laps thus far.
TTC with one ovary and tube.
Now moving onto IVF/ICSI. 2 months of down regulation with lucrin depot 3.75mg. Started stims on 22/11/10. ET on 6/12/10. Testing on 10/12/10

:( I'm shocked that you have good things to say about Sagie Naidoo...He put us on fertility drugs and didn't bother to advise me that i had endometriosis. FYI fertility drugs aggravates the disease. Plus the ladies in his rooms are cold and arrogant and disrespectful. By the time i got to dr. hansen (who is now cleaning his mess) my endometriosis had reached THIRD STAGE. Also, my husband's sperm count was so low and this doc didn't see warning bells. I have had to be on treatment and the last year has been an absolute misery and emotional rollercoaster. Please be careful of him. He may be good but you may be that one patient whom he is not paying enough of attention to and he messes up your life!!

Hi Nessie

Thanks very much

I have an appointment booked with Dr Candice Roberts at Umhlanga Hospital. She was recommended by someone else on this forum. Seems like she's also quite busy. I called her office at the end of may and the earliest I could get in was mid July! Still have a whole month of waiting :(
