Gynae advice

I was the sister that was in need of a Gyne!

Just wanted to let you know i ended up with Dr Victor, and she was excellent!! i was so so happy with her and still am. so thank you so much for recommending her!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dr Victor !!!

She was awesome when I was pregnant - has the patience of a saint, compassionate, will spend forever with you if needed.

At my 6 week check up (after birth) she went thru all my options regarding contraception, and as I was adamant that I wanted to be sterialised, she went thru all that as well. Not only making sure I understood the procedure, but also the emotional part - to make sure It was not PND speaking

I went for my annual check up a while ago and even then I did not feel as if I was part of the "sausage factory", she CARES, she is a happy, bubbly, encouraging person.

But as Julz said, my perfect doc may not be perfect for your sister.

Another plus to Dr Victor is that the hospital is lovely, had a few surgical procedures there and have always been well cared for

Thanks Julz. She phoned Dr Victors rooms this morning but the receptionist said that they weren't taking anymore patients this year. But then back down a bit and told her to confirm her pregnancy with a blood test and she'll consider squeezing her in.

Anyone else been to Dr Tania Victor?

As always this is hard to answer as what works for me might not for you. Johan van Heerden was my gynae before I changed to a hospital closer to home. He is based at Milnerton. Quite straight forward but I like that and he is very supportive of natural birth. My best friend has had both babies and he was her gynae. He charges medical aid rates and is ALMOST ALWAYS on time. They actually call you to remind you to be on time!

Dr Victor a female at Netcare Blaauberg is also excellent. I am not sure of her rates, but I have heard great things about her.

I don't have numbers but if you go to the netcare and mediclinic websites you will find all of their details.

I know this question has come up a thousand times. But I just can't find what I'm looking for.

My sister is looking for gynae in Cape town. She works in Milnerton and lives in Blouberg, and is looking for a gynae that will be compassionate with a good bed side manner. And that is also reasonably priced.

I would really appreciate some feedback with phone numbers. Thanks
