I would like to send in a letter, where could i get the attached letter mentioned below?

Dear friends/ colleagues/ clients/ moms

I am writing this letter to ask for your support to establish a midwifery-based Active birth Unit (MOU) with a theatre on site (for emergency C-sections only) in Cape Town. A place like this will be managed and run by midwives. It will provide midwives (the experts in natural birth) to get the support they so desperately need in terms of obstetric back-up and a non-hospital environment for families where they can experience the magic of birth. It will be a place of beauty and comfort where women can birth naturally without the pressure of medicalised births or C-sections. It will be a place that supports natural birth in all aspects, but it will also have a theatre on site for women who need emergency caesareans.

A wonderful group of people are heading up this project and Robyn Sheldon is the coordinator in the Western Cape for the group. They are meeting with the Minister of Health for the Western Cape, Mr. Theuns Botha during the second week of April. During this meeting we would like to convince him of the following:

1. That women in the Western Cape want natural births and want an MOU with an operating theatre on site.

2. That the Western Cape needs a facility like this, in order to provide training to midwives in the public sector in terms of compassionate birthing etc. resulting in better birth outcomes.

The only way she will be able to convince our government of the need to have a midwife led unit with a theatre onsite is if we show him that there is a big enough demand for it. We need letters of support from you. Robyn would like to present him with a book of letters and e-mails from all the people wanting to see this happen in Cape Town. For all those who support natural birth and midwifery, please help by taking 10 minutes to copy the attached letter, amend where necessary, add your details and anything else you’d like to say, and send it onto Robyn - info@mamabamba.com and to Origins Clinic -info@originclinics.co.za. We will appreciate as many emails of support as possible – so chat to your friends and colleagues!
