Thanks Momtoc. Whohoo, with a first baby like that, I've got A LOT of respect and admiration for you for having another one! I HOPE my first experience will not be hectic, but the secrecy I'm worried about... My hubby already has a tendancy to get "stilstuipe" and it drives me up the wall!! I just say whatever comes into my head

Marijke, how are you doing, been quiet since yesterday? You're the next after me, and I remember you've been hoping for a natural birth, any signs yet?

Wow you ladies have been busy this morning, i am on my way to the doc for my 32 week appointment i will update you when i get back.

Punchysmum, just keep an eye on the cramping & as soon as you get pains in your lower back towards your kidneys..........please phone the gynae asap but I think it might just be the braxton hicks & the normal preggie niggles Just take it easy!
I agree with Clueless, it might be ligaments stretching as well cause I get the same when I wake up @ night to go to the loo. My stomach just feels like it want to go into spasms some times.......

Remember, your only as old as you feel hehehe. I'm 30 but I really look like I'm only 24 or something but my body feels older inside (sigh!)
I honestly would love to see how your lg is going to be as a baby & as she grows older cause my lg was born on the 30th. She was ok for the 1st month - slept like 4 hours straight before feeds but once that month past, all hell broke loose. She suffered from terrible cramps, spasms & reflux. She didn't want to sleep on her own @ all! She was basically a lap & arm baby for many months She obviously slept in her camp cot @ night but during the day, she wanted to sleep in the arms. It was extremely rough on us cause we had to make turns to eat etc but luckily she out grew that. As a toddler - she is moody, secretive - we struggle to get info out of her & she won't necessarily tell you things that happened during the day - NOT always! She is extremely difficult with clothes & shoes but maybe that's just a girl thing I can't pick out any clothes for her since she was 2 years old. The list just goes on & on
Okay, as for nipple cream - lansinoh is expensive but good & my gynae also prescribed bepanthen with my 1st pregnancy - also not cheap but can also be used for nappy rash - absolute love this ointment for rashes. It is very good. I know medela also has nipple cream out but haven't used it before.
Baby bum cream - I only used bennetts as it worked for my lg. She only got nappy rash when she had a runny tummy or when she was on antibiotics cause then it makes their poop much more acidic. There are so many products on the market now that's good so maybe google & see if there are any comments on the products from other mothers.
I can't advice on the Creche guard bum spray cause it wasn't on the market when I had my lg hehehehe but I definitely want to try it out this time around but I think I'll only use it when there is a real need for it. Your normal baby bum will do just fine.

Yay!!! My last day at work

You girls make me feel old, all younger than me!! And everyone has VERY interesting jobs!

Momtoc, yes, I'm dreading the Scorpio birthsign personality issues... Although they say that Libras and Scorpios usually get on well together... Holding thumbs My mum used to tell me (as a difficult teenager) "Payback's a bitch!" and now I'm really starting to worry Please please send me some tips! So far LG has been extremely accommodating in the pregnancy, I'm just hoping that wont change once she's out

Punchysmom, you lucky girl, looking at cars! Even though hubby would love to look at a bigger car for me (he very optimistically pointed out a Jeep to me last week, and got an earful for his trouble ) we just cant afford it right now. He's got a double cab bakkie, "the dog's car" and I have a little hatchback, and that will have to do for now. We will be looking at getting a canopy for his bakkie to create more space, and even those are quite expensive Take it easy with the pains! I've also woken up a few nights now with pains, especially after I go to the loo and get back into bed, and was certain one night they were labour pains. But after thinking about the symptoms I'm pretty sure now that its ligament pains, and just causing muscle spasms. Hope yours subside soon!

Mosa, the 4D scans are awesome if you get good pictures. Punchysmom is right, it works best if they're very awake and moving a lot. The midwife who did mine advised drinking Coke (the real thing, not diet) and eating Enerjellies (Super C or Powerade type jelly sweets) about an hour before the scan. That worked awesomely well for me!

LAdies, what nipple cream do you use? And bum cream? I'm so disappointed, I bought EVERYTHING for my hospital bag 2 weeks ago at Dischem, I should have waited for the sale Anyway, I bought Lansinoh nipple cream, its supposed to be really good, but it is hellishly expensive, almost R100 for a tiny tiny tube ! Oh, and the midwife advised us to buy Crecheguard Baby Bum SPRAY, it has probiotic in and is excellent for nappy rash (or prevention thereof) but it is like R200 for a small bottle Also not sure if it should be used INSTEAD of bum cream, or together with it?? Anyone know? Momtoc, any experience with these?

Punchysmum, Where exactly are you experiencing cramps? It might just be the Braxton Hics. Does it burn when you urinate? You might a bladder infection or UTI.
Maybe just phone the gynaes office & speak to one of the sisters.
As for the cars......mmmmm - I would choose between the IX35 or the Q3 hehehe

mosaneo, enjoy your 4D next week. I would suggest try drinking a nice coke an hour before you app & also a big bar one - it's worth a shot!!!!!!

What forum did you see me on??? I've got porridge brain here I used to chat on the Pampers forum but that was about 2 to 3 years ago. Then after that I joined mommies - I think that's the name but I never really chatted there & then moved over to moomies
