Any one recently been to Die Wilgers hospital for

I had my LG at Wilgers Hospital in Jan 2010 and had a wonderful experience and would def go there again if we still lived in Pta.

I was induced and my LG was in NICU for 12 days. I went back & forth every day every 3 hours to give her BM which i had expressed.

I found the staff there to be very awesome!

Who is your gynae?
If you need a paed i can recommend one. The one we were allocated at birth was aweful and charged a fortune. I then found another who was much better with pricing and was great with my daughter.

I was at Wilgers Hospital last year October for my lap and hys....
I really did not like it, the sisters were the rudest people i have ever met .
When we got there i forgot to shave and this nice sister told me that if i want i can do it myself ( luckily hubby was there to assist) this was while we were busy filling in the forms and so on next moment the head( don't know the correct term) sister came in and told my husband to leave because the other sister wants to shave me ... right then i told you know what i was given a choice and i prefer my husband to do it she then rudely told me that she thinks my husband should come and work for her. Lap and hys went well also had ovarian drilling after about 2 hours i was still struggling with the anesthetic to recover that same rude lady told my husband he cant be in the ward ( we live about 500 km away from the hospital) my husband told het no the doc said as soon as i wake up i can be release then this rude lady told him no she thinks i should leave now so we left me still heavilly sedated and my hubby frustrated it was awfull to say the least

Welcome to moomie, I see this is your first post.

Um, I have been there a couple of times. I didn't have my baby there, I was there with my LG for a big bladder operation (PICU and Pead ward). I was there a few years back with an ectopic pregnancy for a week stay.

First of all, their food is horrible, like in really bad. The worst hospital food I have had in all private hospitals.

The service and staff varied greatly. The ICU staff was exceptionally good but certain staff in the general wards were shockingly poorly trained.

I can't comment on the maternity ward.

I'm just so hesitant as to the hospital in Pta. there seems to be good and bad experiences everywhere?

Has anyone been to Die Wilgers recently or is anyone going?????
