Hi Ladies,

I have been following this thread for about 5 weeks, but wasn't ready to post quite yet :) it seems to have gone a bit quiet !

We went for our first scan yesterday and I am 9 weeks pregnant and all looks healthy. We are expecting our second around 13 May 2013.

How are you all doing ? I have all day morning sickness ( same a with my first pregnancy) am really tired and sore breasts.

Cleo how is the nausea?

Zodwa, I had a natural birth with my first and had a great experience, I would recommend hypnobirthing, I did it with my first and will use it again with this baby.

Oh dear - working from home today and doing everything else but working!

lol Zodwa my DH as well! His father was a twin. And again me too - I also had a traumatic birth hence the priority being the control I have over the process rather than the method.
A c-section is generally more controlled if all goes well though I can't compare it to the first which definitely could not be called controlled.

I'm giving birth at Paarl Mediclinic. If I had the choice I would go elsewhere but because of what happened with my first I want to be as close as possible and they are 15min down the road.

Where u having your baby Cleo?
Im so nervous about giving birth again, Ruru's birth really left me traumatised, still hate thinking about it. The gynae & nurses were fine, just the whole natural process left me a bit violated.......
Im thinking bout maybe if we have money next year to go for the hypno birthing course. Dnt knw how much it will cost but maybe that'll help me along.....

Hi there Mishy....
My son will be 3 by the time this one arrives. Cleo & I seem to be on the same path when it comes to having kids!!!
DH was hoping for twins, he was disappointed when the scan showed one baby.
Shame he's always dreamt of having twins.

Gotta make Ruru lunch. chat later

Zodwa I'm due on 26 April :) You do realise that our kids are/will be just about identical in age :) Although I am going to have a c-section so it will probably be around 19 April. My gynae likes leaving it as late as possible. I was also a month early with my first so who knows with these things :)

I work 5mins down the road from Milnerton Mediclinic. Looks like they've been doing quite a bit of building over the last year.

Hi Mishy glad to see we have another person. I'm sure it will pick up. I haven't been on this forum for ages so am getting into it again. My boy will be over 3 when this one is born. I'm definitely having very different symptons from my first where I literally had nothing. This time round I also cramped terribly in the beginning - was also really worried but it's pretty normal. I'm also getting these bouts of intense nausea and over the last couple of days it's been happening every day :( Hope it's not going to last..

Chat soon.

Hi all,

I see this forum is pretty quiet - but hopefully it'll pick up :)

We recently found out that we're expecting No.2! And if all calculations are correct (from LMP) I'll be 6 weeks on Sat, Due 25 May 2013. Our first gyne app is on 18 Oct (it seems like forever!!). My boy is turnign 5 in about 2 weeks and it seems like a lifetime ago that I've been down this road...

I've had a bit of nauseas but since yesterday I've felt all back to normal, except for the crampiness. Makes me feel a little un-easy - but so far no signs to worry about. Maybe I should just enjoy being able to keep my lunch down - LOL!

Hi Zodwa =) Glad to hear that all is ok. When is the due date? Where will you be giving birth? Any MS yet? I had a few bouts but nothing for a while so assume it's gone. Otherwise just emotional for me - physical all ok apart from some insomnia which I got the last time as well.

Excellent idea to start looking at doing your own thing..if you were closer you would have your first client :) Oh my word - so this was not planned? Damn sorry to hear about Ruru having to leave creche..he sounds like he's developing beautifully. Liam my son has always been a slow developer - not sure whether it was because he was born premature - anyway he isn't talking yet and as for potty training - yeah right!

We're exposing Liam to Xhosa, English and Afr. Eng will be the home langauge as we are both Eng although hubby is totally bilingual in Afri. Then long time nanny in Xhosa and she has spoken nothing but since birth. Hopefully he would have picked up a lot by now - he only says Eng words at the mo.

I'm also in the Cape.

How's everybody else?
